Hotel Coramandal Heritage

To begin with its a old house turned into stay and that's it nothing special .. we booked a deluxe asking for the second floor rooms..to have a common terrace access & room 302 ..its your regular bedroom ...we couldn't change the ac temp which was fixed at 22°C. In bathroom u will have stagnant water after u take bath n it won't drain unless you tell someone to clean it so be patient ( review is only for the room we stayed). The continental breakfast was good!! Do try

Old house converted to lodging. Location is the best part of this place. Provide early check in if available - that's an added attraction. The rooms are basically appointed... nothing fancy. They should have placed water bottles at least!

Actually my kind of place. An old school place turned into hotel. But but I prefer cleanliness. Old doesn’t mean you need to leave it without any maintenance. Common wash basin area stinks. Kitchen 🤮. ACs were leaking (each day, each room) Bathroom commode were broken (cracks).

Cheap and best rooms in that locality with great ambience.

They will provide early check-in before 1 hour and u can keep your bags in hotel and u come arrive on time for check-in also.

Rooms are like homestay. Gives rustic vibes. Clean and promising rooms. Wooden beds. I chose a triple bedroom. It's good. The bathroom is not that good yet manageable.

Over rated in reviews. Centrally located. Rooms are very small. The bathroom needs some Deep cleaning. Badly maintained property.An old broken fridge is kept in the main hall as a symbol of the heritage! There's a junk yard of old broken furniture right in front of our room in the first floor.If you are fine with a' heritage stay' in a century old house with lots of compromises in comfort, this is your place! But i agree a real heritage stay will cost five times the cost of this one. But please do clear the junk! It can be converted into a nice homestay by making some small efforts.

The place location is advantageous - near beach, manakula vinayagar kovil, Sri aurobindo ashram etc.

However, The owner lacks basic ethics. He had given commitment to me for stay till Friday, however asked me to shift to basic room on ground floor the moment he had an online booking (presumably higher price). I decided to cut short my trip (originally planned for 6 nights) and checked out a day earlier. This was disrespectful, unexpected and unilateral. I got a feeling that as if he thought that I was staying there as an unwanted guest for free.

The breakfast was the same on all the days. No change, it was just the same - bread butter jam omelette fruits (banana and papaya only).

AC doesn’t cool the room even if you set it at 18 deg C. May be it is not serviced since long time. You still sweat with AC and fan on.

Do stay here only if you are ok with being thrown out mid trip or being asked to change rooms unilaterally.

I may not visit this place again.

An amazing place to stay when you are coming to Pondicherry. This hotel is in a very accessible place, walking distance to literally every attraction. You can go to Crèpe in Touch, Surguru and Cafe Xtasi to eat which are right next door.

The complimentary breakfast is awesome and they can also cook south indian breakfast for you if you request. The staff are very hospitable and the rooms are very natural old heritage like.

There was no parking but you can keep your vehicle right outside the hotel, its safe.
