HOTEL GUNJAN

Situated in a gali but only 300 mtrs to golden beach. Rooms are small. No lift/ car parking place. Staff behaviour is good. Food is tasty and reasonable price. Room rent is comparably cheaper than near by hotels ,I got a good discount from Goibibo. Above all a good hotel for budget traveller. Thanks. Pranabesh Prasan Sahu. Bhubaneswar.

Nice hotel plus Pou near to the beach and temple both approx 1 km. Rates are okay too.
If you are looking for a great ambience go for something else

Very worst hotel in puri service likely good but not good behavior and if you stay 10 to 15 minute over in your check out time he charged

The hotel is located at a convenient place and walking distance from Golden beach. Nothing else is good about the hotel. It's below average even at budget hotel standards. Basically it's a dharmshala. The staff will switch off the AC centrally whenever that want and then the guest will have to run or call everytime to restart the AC. (They don't have intercom). Rooms are small and dirty and there was no wardrobe. They did not provide mineral water but filled tap water in used plastic bottles. (That too they gave after asking for a coupel of times). They did not provide Towels in start but later gave after calling. (You need to call the owner/staff for any small thing). Towels were dirty and a bit wet. I am not sure if they were washed or just moved from one guest to another. We stayed for 2 days and they provided just one small soap for all our need. On asking for one more soap the staff argued a bit. Washroom latch was coming out everytime we tried closing it. AC was not cooling properly. They don't have a lift and if you stay on 2nd floor it will get heated up in afternoon (AC was of local company and not able to cool properly).

Don’t know from where to start, given the price of 3-star hotel(which they claim), the facilities are that of a dharamsala. Wish Google have negative rating option!!!!

Let me list it out:
1. Rooms are in poor condition.
2. They don’t provide sealed water bottles and toiletries which every 3-star claimed hotel provides. Just a small portable soap and Re 1 shampoo. No towels available, after asking they gave and that too smelly one. They gave unsealed water bottles on asking and that too was salty in taste.
3. The room has AC as well as a designated remote, but the control is outside on each floor from where they turn on and off the AC whenever they want. The worst part it they come and turn it off from outside even when you are in room at night.
4. The washroom is pathetic, one dirty bucket and mug, door with broken latches and handle. Commode was just cleaned by putting lots of phenyle liquid. No geyser is provided.
5. No room service. On asking for one extra soap they asked questions as if we are asking some luxuries for ourselves for free of cost. We asked for it as we need one for bathing and one for washing hands after using the toilet.
6. Don’t have an active power backup, on power cut they turn on generator after giving calls by calling from you mobile phones.
7. On asking for 2 plate and bowl they ask questions - you want one or two, now or later.. irrelevant questions.

Such a bakwas hotel. All staffs are rude and they don't know how to behave with customers. Bathrooms are fully dirty. Rooms are dirty. They changed their commitment after check out.

Please do not book any rooms in this poor conditioned hotel.

1. They claimed for AC room. But, for every 1 hour they switch off the AC MCB Power manually.
2. Rooms are unhygienic and not clean.
3. Poor conditioned room.
4. Manager's behaviour is very rude and bad.
5. Water supply was not there always in washrooms.
6. Need to ask for towels and soaps but they are questioning why there is a need

Disgusting stay in Hotel Gunjan.

Hotel Gunjan is a very low rated and local hotel, not very nice. The hotel is Good Walks away from Puri Sea Beach (aka Golden beach and Blue beach). To go to the sea beach you have to walk through the Local Puri Village which is very Awkward, the hotel locality is very Soundy and Noisy. Hotel Gunjan is not Pocket Friendly. At this price you can good quality hotel near Puri Sea Beach. Food is very Costly even the breakfast you can get Cheap Fooding in any other Restaurant. In short booking a 5 star Hotel and staying in 1 star hotel.
