Alaka Inn Puri

Firstly the boy who was sitting at reception quite lazy and careless about first hospitality.
He didn't even listen what exactly we were saying and took atleast 35 mins for check-in meanwhile we were standing at reception area, no sitting arrangement was available. After Check-in we found the room very very dirty and unhygienic as the room was not cleaned. The chairs were full of sand and dust. We couldn't walk on the floor barefeet as it was full of beach sand. The bedsheet and blanket were torn and was smelling so bad. After so many request a boy came for cleaning but he clean the chair and didn't change the bedsheet and blanket. the Dormate was full of sand. No drinking water was available in the room.

In total it was a very very bad experience and will not recommend to anyone to stay in it.

Overall not recommended.
It's 10 minutes walking distance from Jagannath temple and 20 minutes to Puri seabeach. No minimum amenities you can get as in any budget hotels, no toilet soap and towels provided, T.V and grisser just for show, not working since last cyclone. No room service, for breakfast, lunch and dinner you need to walk towards sea beach areas. for tea you need to came down to tea stall outside hotel. Due to no maintanence walls get damp. furniture broken, there is no space or hangers to hang your swayed or wet clothes inside room.
The caretaker boy Mr. Deepak is very polite in behaviour. for drinking water you need to call the caretaker over mobile or sometimes you need to came down to ground floor to refill your water bottle.
Rooms are airy and lightly. Toilets is not so clean but usable.
propaitor need to take care on those minimum maintenance and amenities.

The Hotel was in a walkable distance from the Jagannath Temple & the Sea Beach . The Hotel boys are very responsive & polite . If you are coming by train , then you may prefer to stay . There is no Parking Area for Four Wheeler Vehicles . The Hotel is inside a Colony , still i would like to give 4 Star because of the Minimal distance to Sea Beach & Jagannath Temple . It would be excellent , if the hotel owners will respond the calls from customers timely . I feel just a little delay in receiving My Phone Calls . Remember there is no house keeping facilities & water supply facilities .
For Family & For Couple, it's a nice place to Stay .

I was about to give 1 star then I remember, they gave us room before check in time after several thousand calls, hence I gave 2 star to this hotel. Otherwise there's no role of the hotelier or any room boy. They didn't provide clean room, bed sheet pillows were messy and really dirty. After several calls and request they changed the sheet almost after 6-7 hrs of our stay. But no one came for cleaning the floor even after we showed them full of dirt in every corner of the room. The hotel was not bad but the service was disaster. No service will be given to u. No mosquito coils no mosquito net. Now let's come to the point, location is 2 min walking from Jagannath temple and 12-15 mins from beach(Swargadwar beach).

This guest house is the worst. There was no proper lightings in the room.No bulb in washroom. Commode dirty and flush not working. No cleanliness. Alcohol bottle under the bed. We booked 2 rooms and none of the switch board were working. Complaint made by customer is not even heard by the caretaker. Owner and the caretaker were busy in playing blame-game. Overall the customer grievance is left unheard. Stinky washroom. No cleaner available to clean the room (not even for once) . Used bedsheets by previous customer was not even changed.

Nice location..very near to shree mandir.Good staff,specially Sunil manager of the property is well behaved and gentle person.
Need to renew the property, if it will done by the owner side,it will become an amazing property.
