Hotel Vishal Plaza

We planned to visit Puri and as we planned at the 11th hour did not get any hotel near to swargadwar hence found this one thorugh make my trip. The hotel is a nice one for staying with family. They offer neat and clean rooms, regular cleaning is done, has lift in the hotel and also has a restaurant which provides good food in terms of quantity and quality. The prices of the food are also within limit. The rooms have air condition in it. I booked two rooms one of double bed another was four bedded. I think no hotel can give a four bedded room with AC at the rate I got. It is nearby OTDC and BNR.

Worst hotel, never going to stay here again, at this not recommend at all.
Stay for 1 day, the rooms were fine the washroom was dirty, poor hygiene. I asked the hotel staff about the washroom they were like ni sir clear hi hai, sabhi room ka essi hai.
Washroom door wasnt properly closing.
You can't sit in balcony as it was dirty.
Tv was constantly playing in Telugu, even after changing language, had a talk with hotel staff, even they tried and they couldn't change the language.
Hotel staff not friendly at all.
Some of the workers were drunk.
I recommend you guys to not stay in this hotel.

Extremely unhygienic, unclean and dirty. Broken bathroom fittings, bed linen have stains, and there is dust everywhere. 10 years ago this hotel may have been okay, but with the hospitality industry improving now, it is disgusting to see this level of unsanitary conditions.

Pros :

About 800mtrs from sea beach
Golden beach is in about 2kms
Swargadar beach and market is about 3kms
Auto stand is in the opposite site of the very hotel
Medicine shops, Atms are in 200mtrs range.
Attached Restaurant
Restaurant food prices are reasonable.
They have panda arranged for Jagannath temple Puja.
etc..

Cons :
For a small family no rooms with beach/sea view.

Location is good. About 100 meter from sea beach.
Service is ok.
Rooms are moderate. Requires improvement. Some dusts are created round the clock; falling mainly from wooden items. Bed sheet, blanket covers had holes.
In Room no 304 looking mirror was damaged. In bathroom, hot water supply was not available.

Breakfast is like bhandra there total chaos and bread was given without jam when enquired then they replied that we have only one jam bottle and has got finished. We were travelling with 2 yrs baby but there was no water untill we asked. They installed a jar with leaking tap with plastic wrapped on it. One of person who served breakfast was cleaning toilet the other day of our rooms. Totally hygienic. Second day breakfast was over before time but was served in room . They cleaned the room which was there best . Food in hotel's restaurant was average to good but they take time when ordered.

Location is good in front of sea beach. Apart from this nothing is good. Taste of food in breakfast they serve only 2 thing one is puri with aloo ka sabji which is not hot and puri have oil too much. Sandwiches they serve. Inside room bathroom flush not working water not coming properly. I can not recommend this hotel as per the charges.

Price is very high compared to the quality of rooms. Staff behavior is not professional. Rooms very untidy. They asked to wait for an hour if we order food in the hotel due to high orders lined up. So we brought food from outside, then they said outside food is not allowed. Also didnt give plates to eat.This is not how you should treat your customers.
