Surya Garden

Stayed here on business trip. Clean rooms with adequate amenities, good food on ala carte. Breakfast spread was not much which was possibly the only lacuna. The hotel is situated right next to the highway so it's easily accessible and visible from the road.

One of the best joints in this Coal City of Talcher. Best for Corporate / Official get-together. Nice ambiance. Exotic interior in the lobby and other common place. The photograph / painting are utterly traditional with a hint of modernity.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel. Comfy rooms and great service. The food served at their restaurant is one of the best you can have in this part of the country. Please ask for the chef’s recommendations when you order food. Keep it Up!

Surya Garden is a very very good place to stay at if one is coming to Talcher.
There are very few hotels here and this one would be the best of the lot. The rooms are clean, well maintained and of a good size.
What really sets this place apart is the food. The food is very very good and totally bingeworthy. The my have a menu that spans Indian, Chinese, Continental, Mughlai and Local. They also do special food festivals. Whilst we were here there was a sizzler festival which was excellent too!!!
The staff are kind and courteous and very helpful. The owner too makes it a point to come and say hi when he sees you and is extremely friendly.
I would highly recommend this place.

Surya Garden in Talcher, Odisha is truly a spectacular 3-star hotel with utmost amenities and facilities at pocket-friendly rates. The premises are well-maintained and cleaned at intervals. The greatest advantage is its location and easy accessibility from the highway. Staff are very cordial, pleasant and hospitable towards guests. Rooms are nicely furnished and supplied with basic convenience stuff. Complementary packaged water bottles, tea-maker, refrigerator, bath and beverage kits were amongst such provisions. The restaurant even provided an aura of fine dining experience with quality food and taste. Buffet breakfast is worth mentioning for its wide range of cuisine. A state-of-the-art gym and a garden-coffee shop even adds grace and elegance to the hotel.

Mr. Biswajit Pattnaik, the owner of the property is extremely courteous and generous. He genuinely takes feedback from the guests and makes sure to improvise on them.

All in all, our stay was memorable and delightful at the luxurious hotel. I wish the very best to the entire team of Surya Garden. May it rise and shine to new heights !

Good place to stay in Talcher. Room and Food quality is highly appreciable.

We were on a cycling trip from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela and Talcher was our first stop. Surya Garden is the best hotel in the town and our choice of place to spend the night. We expected the hotel to be comfortable, quiet and convenient. What we got is beyond our expectations. First, when we were parking our cycles, an attendant came and offered to wash the cycles (had lot of coal dust accumulated) after knowing that we were coming from Bhubaneswar. It was more than politeness and order of duty. Second, while doing the process of checking in, owner of the hotel Mr Biswanath enquired about our journey and offered us free drinks and hear about our journey experience! The kind of attention we got from the owner of the hotel and other staff throughout the stay was overwhelming. When we were checking out at 7am to continue our journey, Mr Biswanath asked his staff to prepare an excellent breakfast that early in the morning. This kind of attention you get at home and from the people you love. That is our exact feeling.

About the hotel, it is a large and very well maintained hotel with 2 restaurants and a well stocked bar. Rooms are spacious and some of the things like bathrobe / slippers are at par with what is offered in 5 star hotels. Hotel has a beautiful garden and some antique automobiles to spend time with.

It's located on the way to Talcher and the ambience of the Hotel is so good and soothing. The food was great and the service was up to the mark.
