Hotel Aura

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights since I didn’t get much options in Shillong ..small rooms and no food within the hotel. Even rooms have no balcony and window. Feel like staying in a dormitory

Though the rooms are clean and bedding is nice but not worth the money they charge for.

This hotel is not a livable place. Authorities should be penalized to let them run as a Hotel.

Just throw ur bags and come to sleep at night that too as late as possible.

Because it is located in main centre they are charging what they even don't deserve. No ventilation in rooms, smell of dampness in rooms, ants, cockroaches crawl around your bed.

My suggestion is unless there is no emergency, please avoid this damp place. There are far better option around this place which are genuineplaces to stay

These pathetic people made me write review, we entered the hotel in evening even then the room was not clean
It was smelling badly of cigarette, lots of mosquitoes plus the staff was extremely rude and not interested
Never ever book this hotel

Rooms are ok but without ventilation, bathroom was good,no parking facility,you have to pay Rs 20/hour at government parking ,no driver dormitory, we are surprised that one of the staff of the hotel entered a room which was occupied by ladies at midnight (1.30am) to use toilet,when they complain staff said he was in hurry. Surprised 😮.

Yes it was very excellent to stay staff are very humble the rooms were clean very comfortable and it was near the market only over all had a great experienced thank you.

My stay at this hotel was very comfortable as the rooms was really clean and well maintained and above all i was highly impressed by the staff who were very professional and very helpful at the same time. I am deducting one star as there is no view from this hotel. Why you ask ? The rooms had no windows. The location of the hotel is what had drawn me towards booking a room here and it was a good decision as it was in Police Bazar market due to which we had an easy access to cabs and buses.

The hotel staff is very polite and cooperating.. the reception ambience is good .. although the wifi for room did not work, i was given wifi of admin .. i was not required to order food in the hotel as there were many outlets nearby..
However rooms lacked even a window.. they were congested and had no space..

I got all the requirements in the room and they were clean .. hot water availability was never an issue.. the staff helped us with everything we asked for..

I very rarely feel like writing a review of a terrible experience is warranted. However, Aura was just that. A terrible experience. They are in a tiny lane that is one way, so it's tough to get there with luggage. The rooms are much tinier than advertised. There is no difference in tiers of the rooms. The walls are thin. They don't have their own kitchen and when they say free breakfast, they give you two options that comes from the restaurant nearby. The bathrooms are unbelievably small and the shower knob was broken. It's extremely expensive for what it offers. Maybe, think twice before you decide to go there. The one star is because one of their staff was actually nice to us and also because it's not possible to give zero stars.
