Hotel Barbareek

Upon check-in, they provided very dirty and tacky rooms.. Then we've to request that they change the rooms. The rooms are not at all spacious. No windows. Feels a bit suffocating. Their parking facility is even worse. Only thing we liked is their complimentary breakfast for which I rated 3 stars. Otherwise, they don't even deserve 2 stars.

It is managed by a Rajasthani guy who was polite and customer-focused. The service and food (we ate Indian cuisine) of this place are really good. The rooms and toilets were clean (3/5) with geysers. The location is really bad, as it is at a wholesale vegetable market, so be prepared for the traffic and dirt around the place and trucks honking the whole night/especially since 4 am in the morning.

Giving 3 stars because of the location. People can't walk properly infront of the hotel because of the traffic. The hotel is located in the market area which is very crowded. Driving a car there is very difficult. There is no car parking also. Otherwise inside of the hotel is good. Clean rooms. Staffs are well behaved.

We logged in Hotel for two in the month of November, 2022, had a great experience. The rooms are very spacious and airy with full of Sunlight. The toilets are pretty good.

Basically rooms were good and surprisingly no stink issues. But the tap water and bathing water were extremely dirty... And staff is basically absent for anything.... WiFi wasn't working.

Very very costly hotel located in Bara Bazaar Shillong, which is a very congested and dirty place. It's far from Police Bazaar.

The room rent is very high, rooms are small, bed sheets are not clean, door locks cannot be opened by keys, rooms and toilets are dirty.

They charge more that 2300 for a small single room and Rs. 300 extra for heater. The hotel has no lift. If you go by taxi then 50 parking fees is charged.

Food is fully non veg but good. The hotel is not well maintained and very few guests stay there

Terrible location of the hotel. No proper view from hotel. Only sabzi mandi you can see and if there is a slight rain, the place is muddy. The rooms are so- so. Don't expect water boiler or complimentary mineral water bottles in the hotel. Electric sockets were not functional in the room. They couldn't even provide an extra blanket in the cold weather, 8-9 degree. Fully vegetarian, though the food taste and quantity was good. The staffs were well behaved but very slow service.

We had booked a hotel on 27 Dec 2022. The service was extremely poor. Water seeping in from the walls. No water in the washrooms. Bedsheets and Pillows are not cleaned. Rude behaviour from staff. Please look into this hotel and revoke their license . they mislead us . when asked for a refund, it was denied
