Ginger Aurangabad

It was a really bad first time experience. So since the phone wasn't working, i couldn't make any prior arrangements. I finally got connected late in the night. I called the hotel and said I'll be reaching at 5 am in the working, will i be able to wait an hour or so in the lobby, he agreed. On reaching the hotel next morning at 5, firstly the reception said i can't let you stay in the premises for even a minute, yes those were the exact words, so much to sound hospitable. I said fine, I'll pay extra for early check-in. Then he said i can't give you early check-in as you booked, and the booking is not showing in my system, so I can't process. I got furious then, because here i was ready to pay and he was telling me about a technical glitch at 5 am in the morning. Then i just told them I'll cancel my booking, i can get any booking at a nearby hotel, and I'll see what i can do next. To which the reception person got a bit intimidated and he created a fresh booking for me. The charges were hotel charges that i had to pay and not the discounted rates and coupons which i had availed. So basically all the discounts were of no use. I had to pay extra for the early check in which was fine as i agreed. Post the visit, a 40₹ soft drink costed triple the amount of 120₹. Overall i realized it was a bad decision to book as the booking didn't reflect in their system, otherwise i would've just had to pay for early check-in instead of a whole new booking. Secondly i should've chosen a different hotel whose contact numbers were working and hospitality especially at the reception was up to the mark.

Ginger properties are usually good and clean. I have had experience of staying in Goa Ginger Panjim in the past. This property is also at that level, and close to the railway station; however, the service isn't that great.
Perhaps it's the pandemic and a mandate to cut costs, but, no dental kit provided this time on request. It is supposedly paid. The service guy didn't get me extra laundry bag -he said yes and disappeared. No moisturizer on request - said to call reception. Breakfast also had very low variety, with most of the trays empty.
Not a very good stay experience. Reception staff are good and courteous.

It's a decent business hotel.

Rooms are of decent size especially as compared to other Ginger properties.

Food is average, especially breakfast buffet is limited.

Service was good.

Parking is limited if you are travelling by your own car.

Great food, lovely ambience. Hygiene is well maintained.
The restaurant flaunts being vegan but is actually just vegetarian. Almost all mixed vegetable dishes have paneer included, hence i recommend listing your preference before you order.

Overall we had a great time.

Ginger Aurangabad:
Pros:
1. Location is good. It's on main road with lot of showrooms etc.
2. It has a connected vegetarian restaurant, so very convenient for vegetarians.
Cons:
1. Room was smelly.
2. Very small window, it feels like you are living inside a prison.
3. Their AC only has cooling mode, the auto mode doesn't work so it chills the room too much.
4. The reception guy was not courteous
5. One of the bedside charging socket was not working. When we complaint to reception, they told me that the problem is with my charger not the socket. Other sockets were working fine with my charger.

Rooms are big compared to other ginger hotels I have stayed. Hotel is required work seriously on fooding. Menu was very limited and taste was not up to the mark. I opted for dinner but we were informed that there is no buffet due to low bookings. I was served the dinner in the room without bowls, serving spoon or extra spoon for desserts. We ask specifically for not to be spicy n without garlic. Still it was spicy and with garlic. Even menu was very limited in the breakfast too. Location is good. Near to Pune highway.

Big clean rooms, Good service. Checkin process is little slow but the service makes up for it. Food at the hotels restaurant is also good, tasty and hygienic. There is another private restaurant on the premises. Definitely a good choice to stay in Aurangabad, if you are looking for value for money, safe and clean place with a good brand name and professional service which comes along with that.

The hotel ambience is good. The executive room is spacious. All staff members are polite and helpful. The front desk members are also very well mannered and polite. Our overall stay was good .
The ambience of the hotel is good for family stay. We liked the overall ambience .
