The Orchid Hotel Mumbai Vile Parle

The staff went over and above and were very nice. If I could give them, they deserve more than 5 stars! From doorman to reception to room service. Food was good too.

The rooms however were very dated, dirty, non functional to say it lightly! Had a fan with masses of dirt, had to call someone to clean it before we could sleep on bed as dust was falling, TV didn't work, needed new remote! Fan didn't work with no resolution. Bath tub was all choked so a quick shower meant we were standing in dirty water! Had it not been for staff throughout, would have given it only one star - not liveable even for a short one night stay

Best central place to stay in Mumbai. The breakfast spread is very good. The rooms are good.

I myself read the review previously that this hotel has a very slow checkin and checkout process since they use some old or heavy software. I myself witnessed that same at the hotel reception. Carpet stings wherever it's still there. But I believe the owners have decided not to act on the carpet sting and sluggish billing software. But an overall delight to stay here from location, room and breakfast standpoint. Just be patient on reception and avoid the carpet sting in the aisles in front of rooms.

Just beside Mumbai Airport.
Rooms are well lighted, spacious and comfortable for a couple or even a family of 3-4.

Best part what I feel is the food. Taste and quality is amazing. They know what they are upto.

Staff is also quite helpful and very humble.

Service need to improve little bit.
Breakfast is awesome even much much better than hyatt. Rooms are big and all amenities.
Worth of money. Easy to get cab at any time.

Stay was good and comfortable and nice, spacious rooms and clean ms deepika and mr karan was helpful upon departure. Food was nice and restaurant staff was polite. Will visit again soon. Great hospitality.

Most useless property in the vicinity of domestic terminal.
Firstly from no able it is 5/3 star.Below are some of my experiences:-

1) very rude staff at reception and at the main gate.
2) outside food ( from Zomato etc.) is not allowed which is strange. Even 7 star properties allows it.... not acceptable.
3) No entry for rickshaws till the entry point. If you come by rickshaw you will need to walk till the lobby(100 -200 mtrs). So you must step inside the propriety with car only which is really hopeless.
4) Had to call reception 2 times to fix my TV. TV set was broken which is not acceptable when you are paying a good amount for this property.

All in all I would highly suggest go for any other property but not this one unless you want to waste your time and money dealing with useless hotel staff.

Rooms are a tad dated. Service was good but limited.
Business center and shops only accessible late in the morning.
Food in restaurants was awesome.
Superb location in close proximity to Mumbai airport making it easier to get to early morning flights.

always something prevents this hotel from excelling. this time, the water cut off during the shower. had to wash off with bottled water... the manager cut his losses by offering a quite small. veg breakfast (which is very nice but there was a strong feeling that he was doing damage control at the lowest expense to the hotel)
