Hotel uma shree

This is more a guest house run by a family which is at a walkable distance from Mahakal temple and also from Ramghat.

This guest house is 2km from Ujjain railway station. Guest house is located in a very narrow lane where taxi can not reach and you will have to walk around 60-70 meters to reach guest house.

Take taxi and take tight turn to a small lane just before Bada Ganesh Mandir, a very famous temple near Mahakal. After few meters before this lane meets other side road, there is a narrow lane at right side, get down from taxi and walk to reach there.

These are very basic rooms. Double bed rooms are are very small just 8×8 feet where you will find one 5x6 feet bed. Apart from that, nothing is there in the room and not much space is also available.

Bathrooms are also very small so don't much as its very basic with no toiletaries provided. Normal tap drinking water is available on demand if required.

Plus point is location if you are in Ujjain for Mahakal darshan and second plus point is owner who is very helpful and also makes required arrangements for the darshan.

I will conclude my review by saying that its a good choice in budget if you are there only for pilgrimage if you have to be ready to stay with very basic facilities.

Giving 3 stars for hotel owner and location as its at walking distance from Mahakaleshwar temple as well as from Ramghat. It can be used for brief halt if going for Mahakal darshan. Its just a small room with bathroom though clean but lacking some basic facilities.

It was overall a good stay here. Definitely, the behavior of the owner was too good and warm throughout. I would specially mention a person who guided me about various worth visiting places here, as this person really knows this city in and out with a clear abstracts in his brain. That person is the Owner's father. To talk about the Lord of Lords, Shri Mahakal baba I would just point out and would recommend you all to witness Bhasma Aarti. Nothing can be comparable to this very event which starts at 4 AM. People are very warm here. Take their guidance for anything. Jay Shree Mahakal.

Heads Up ! Please don't go by the positive reviews. I'm writing the genuine review. If you are expecting your stay as a hotel, then you are mistaken. It's not a hotel, it's home and few rooms have been made to accommodate tourists. The rooms are pathetic. Basic amenities like hot-water, RO water, soap, towel etc are not available. Bed mattress is not comfortable. Bedsheets are of cheap. Dharmashala near the temple are far better than this house. For hotwater, you will be charged ₹30 per bucket. After seeing the positive reviews, I had booked my 3 night stay at this hotel, but was disappointed to see the hotel. Not recommended if you assume it to be a hotel.
If you have scarcity of money then can think of, but if you can afford a bit more, then look for hotels.

Hotel is at Central location, rooms are small but enough for couple and best for single traveller. Hotel owners are very polite and cooperative. I enjoyed my stay here and with their guidance also make my travel in ujjain easy. Thank You.

Pathetic room condition and badly behaved staff. It’s not a hotel but a very untidy and unhygienic lodge. A very bad experience and have to leave the hotel in middle.

It was a good experience in the uma shree stay.
The room owner(yogesh ji) was very cooperative, he guided me the processes of VIP tickets and Bhashm aarti and all.
the best part is Uma shree is very near about the Mahakal temple.

It's recommended.they are very friendly.with affordable price.Rooms and their services are very nice
