Hotel SPAN

We came to Hotel Span because the room we booked in another hotel was unavailable. Despite having non AC rooms, the receptionist said they can only provide AC rooms and also charged for the extra person. The room rent was 2000 each + 500 for the extra person. We were little disappointed with the room rent but happy that we got room. But the happiness was short lived as the rooms were pretty old and the bathrooms were congested. The rooms are not even worth 1000 rupees. The only good thing was the breakfast we got in the morning. But overall unprofessional customer service and pathetic rooms spoiled the stay for us.

It was a great hotel. But in 1970s. Since then it is not at all maintained. Even the towel they provided is 2yrs old minimum. Fan will not permit you to sleep. No power point for mobile charger. And one thing was great. I could find an age old CRT TV. Didn't switch it on. I was afraid. Dirty rooms. Only thing that was not age old was the soap. Authorities need to inspect it for quality.

It has very unprofessional staffs attending to the customers.They firstly took away morning breakfast in the name of discount. I donno how cutting off breakfast falls under the discount category. The staff were very arrogant to us without providing the services they offered. One of the staffs there raged towards us when we pointed this out and made a huge scene there.

Hotel is Okay considering its Low Budget rooms. Must say rooms and services are not like 3or 4 starhotels.
Receptionist Lady staff was Exceptionally well mannered and helpfull.

Hotel was good & calm. Staffs were very professional & polite. I booked non AC room for 1 day. Since it is non AC, no hot water facility at room but they provided me seperately in a bucket. Restaurant food was good & reasonably priced. Though hotel is little old but well maintained. Inside the room charging point was not kept seperately, so I used the TV point. Overall nice experience.

Rooms are very bad, no onel attended us, we took the room for 3 days, no one came to clean the room for 3 days, even after telling the receptionist, , the bed sheet was not changed for 3 days, same as toilet condition. They Charged Rs 5250 for Non AC Room for three days. I will not suggest this hotel for staying purpose

Took a non-ac room. Hotel looks better outside. But the insides a non-ac room is very mediocre. It was exactly as in photos shared by other guests. First i was given a room which wasnt very clean. When I highlighted that they quickly took me to another room. it was cleaner than the first. It is an old building. interiors are old. though toilet was old it was clean. For hot water one has to call the reception and wait. One of the boys will bring. Not sure if that's available 24hrs. Restaurant was almost closed around 10:30am but they gave me tea when I explained i had severe headache. staffs altogether were polite. With Goibibo I had got discounted price that no other website provided. Hotel is at walkable distance from bus stand and beach is at a distance of Rs.30 for auto. For that price the stay was a good one. If around Rs 900-Rs.1000 you want a non-ac room within bus stand limits then I think the hotel is a good option.
Staying as a woman solo traveller I dint have to worry about safety issues. But I dint stay for longer either. I go out around 10am and will be back by 9pm only for 2 nights. But I felt it is safe for ladies to stay.

Good Hotel and Service. There is a delicious multi cuisine restaurant on second floor. Very spacious lifts are there and good room service and dial 9 for customer service on the phone
