Hotel Paramount Tower

on Saturday (08th October) I went to Hotel Paramount with my friend for Lunch. There was very rush that time and we waited for a long minutes to get a seat. Then we had Mandhi. The food was nice. The problem the service was poor. The waiters were in Harsh mood. They were not considering us as a customer. In the middle of the lunch we ordered for a mint lime. But We waited exactly 15 Minutes after our lunch for Mint lime.So I asked a staff who worn Suit and Pant. He said that he will arrange it. Then we waited for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes I went to cash counter and asked about the mint lime. There the same guy we met before said that It will take more time. If you want it You have to go to the cafe in the ground floor I literally felt bad. And we payed the bill and left hotel without having mint lime. Such a good looking, delicious food serving hotel had Poor Service and irresponsible employees who acts like a Very badly. The next thing is. After all those incidents we have seen a sad scene at the parking area. The Security guard was moved a Bike over bike and our bike got a scratch. Such a good looking, delicious food serving hotel had Poor Service and irresponsible employees who acts like a Very badly. The security was the most Bad behaviour among those people. If you can change your Employees behaviour and improve service...It will be better.

Pros1)Easy access to Railway Station2)even when you book you find 12 to 12 check in check out time Cons1) It's very old hotel. Must be part of the history of Calicut but no much maintanence and renovation2) asked them to clean the room while going out at 4pm and came back at 10.30pm. The whole management team got just "sorry sir" as reply and the room service guy seems to be living in a different trance. Came here with my family which includes my wife and two children 3year old and 1 year old.I see this place neither safe nor hygiene3) first question at check-in after seeing the family is "shall we provide a twin bed?" extreme irresponsibility, Hygiene is not my cup of teaElse find a better place for your family highly irresponsible staff

Hotel Paramount Tower is located on the East side of the railway track near Gate 2 of Kozhikode railway station, it's at a walkable distance from the railway station. One can easily walk it down with less baggage. The hotel is decent, the breakfast buffet was really good and good food items on the hotel's menu were available at reasonable prices for lunch and dinner options. It even has a swimming pool. The hotel is located near the market area which makes it convenient for shopping. Good view from the room's windows.
However, the hotel service / room service could be better, there is scope for improvement. Not many channels to watch on the television in our room.
Overall a good place and can be recommended to others.

The food was so good. Mild flavoured mandhi and the chicken was very soft and tender! considering the quality of the food the price is reasonable.
The service was poor. Since it was lunch time, there was a big rush, and after getting a table there was an unwanted delay from their side. Noticed the same experience with other customers also.

Some one planning to book this hotel may please read our experience..

* Very poor service, we have deluxe room with extra bed, check in was 2pm and we asked them to put the extra bed .. they put the extra bed by 11.45 pm. ..

* I was not aware the we need to carry water and towel while coming to a 3 star hotel.. they give 1 towel, 1 brush, 1 bottle water. For extra one bottle of water and towel I had to call 5 times and went to reception to get a bottle of water.

* Staff are behaving like they are doing some favour and charity..

Old wine in a new bottle. The common area , entrance and lobby have been face lifted recently to look new, however the rooms and toilets were a disappointment. The toilets definitely need renovation. We booked 4 rooms and the case with toilets were the same in all of them. Otherwise the location and food was good. The AC was noisy too.

Nice stay.. But rooms are a bit old type.. Especially bathroom doors floor and curtains .. Bathroom is very clean.. Only showers available.. No tap water in batgroom for bucket filling.. Only one tooth brush and one bath towel was there in bathroom.. Pools are not child friendly..

Overall, not worth it. Before 20 years, this would have been an excellent experience.. but not today

Liked : Centrally located Hotel in Calicut, very close to SM street and Mananchira square.
Security staff was courteous and eager to find parking space for us.

Disliked : Rooms were cramped, wooden floors were broken, Wifi - was better without it! we had to use personal hotspot to watch some youtube. Breakfast was absolutely bad.. the worst breakfast I had in similar hotels.
