This homestay that started around a month ago was a wonderful experience for my family. Not very far from the main road, the homestay which provides 2BHKs and 1BHKs is set in a wonderful banana plantation. The views around are fabulous- banana trees, coconut groves, tea gardens, bamboo trees - totally soothing. The rooms are clean and all necessary things have been provided. The kitchen even had an induction stove with some utensils if you want to cook! A gas heater on terrace provides hot water too. Facility at top for drivers freshing up is there and ample parking too. Owner was very helpful. A patch of the road to vythiri main road is bad due to the floods but is a minor inconvenience. It’s a great place to relax at reasonable rates. (We booked it on oyo). The place is at Chundale about 8-9 km from pookode lake and lakkidi. You get easy access to shops and restaurants of vythiri which is a boon. Would recommend it to all. It’s a great getaway from the crowds in the lap of nature.

Neat rooms, separate 1 bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. If you go here kindly plan to cook by urself. Hotels are not far waya, they are all within 10km radius. The room has a very good view to bannana plantation. Very good staff, and it's in Chundale estate which is definitely a boon to nature lovers since this is located in the very middle of the nature's Crest. Every minute will be adventurous. This room is also close to many of the main cities like vythri, and kalpetta. It is more or less close to pookode lake, lakkidi view point, chembra peak, soochipara water Falls and kanthanpara water Falls. These are the places that are accessible given the distance.
I can suggest this to families, couples and group of friends!!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL... MUST AVOID...
(1) Caretaker can speak only Tamil. And the owner never receives customer calls. Asking for any service or reporting issue is extremely difficult, needed to use sign language. Owner needs a common sense that tourists can't learn a language before visiting a tourist place. (2) Electric Geyser is not provided in the bathroom. There is a gas Geyser on the terrace. You need to beg (yes, begging in true sense) for hot water. It is the caretaker's wish to start a gas Geyser. He started gas Geyser (after begging in sign language), he switched it OFF within 15 minutes without any notice which is not enough for 3-4 members to take bath. (3) I stayed for 2 nights. So I asked for a towel change on the 2nd day. To my horror, I was refused for such a simple thing in a very rude way. I paid for 2 nights but service is given only for 1 night. That was extremely unprofessional and very rude behaviour. (4) Ceiling Fan is full of dust. There is no proper cleaning and hygiene.
So overall, my experience was the worst, I was feeling harassed by them. They are very desi and khadoos people. They don't know anything about professionalism. MUST MUST MUST AVOID.

Oyo support after booking the hotel is very poor .. you don’t deserve even 1star also.

The hotel is situated almost 1 km away from Chundantale Market. The rooms are well maintained and clean. One can cook his/her own breakfast or any light food if needed. Induction cooker is kept in the kitchen. Price is very reasonable. They had provided us a two bhk room. Loved it.
