Hotel Mayura Gerusoppa Jogafalls

A comfy stay with a view of the waterfall with some extra large rooms.
You get to park your car outside your room. Staff were helpful. Place is getting upgraded, so expect construction work around. Neat restrooms. We reached late still they severed us good warm meal in late mid night. Place was affordable within lap of nature. Everyone was very helpful.

A good experience of stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are the highlight of the hotel since the falls is directly visible from the window. You can reach the viewing point for the falls which is just a two minute walk. The best times to view the falls are in the early morning and late evening. If the clouds are clear, given the limited light pollution in the night sky then you can watch it filled with stars. The rooms are spacious and clean. The AC remote was a little glitchy, but the AC worked just fine and did it's job of keep the room cool. The bathroom is clean and well stocked. The restaurant has a limited menu but very well prepared foods.

If you were to stay near Jog Falls, this is the place I would highly recommend. Many other attractions are nearby of roughly within 20 minutes to 1 hour away, such as Sharavathi Reservoir, Adventure activities such as Kayaking, Unchalli Falls, and many others.

I visited in second week of Sept. The AC deluxe rooms have a perfect view of the falls. Rooms are sufficiently big. The staff ensures to keep the premises and the rooms clean. Value for money food available at the attached restaurant.

Concerns:
1. the restaurant is small and is mostly crowded. No room service, except for dinner.
2. Minimal to no toiletries provided. No mini fridge in the room.
3. Poor wifi reception in the rooms.

We loved it so well. very supportive staff. good atmosphere. We can see the Jog falls from the walkway at the hotel itself. Good restaurant in standard condition.

It is suggested to have two- three sample tea bags and sugar packets in the room so as the guests can make tea according to their need. There was provision to make hot water to drink and glasses. It can be done by the hotel in no additional cost. It is not a complaint, suggestion only.

However, we enjoyed this accommodation and surroundings very much. Thank you very much to KSTDC Mayura Gersoppa, Jog falls, Karnataka and GOIBIBO as well.

I'm usually a person who is not completely satisfied with hotel stays, but this hotel completely exceeded my expectations.
Everything I liked about the hotel:
1. Very spacious room, more than enough for a family of 3-5
2. Clean bathroom with essential toiletries
3. Pretty good view of the jog falls right outside the window
4. Very welcoming and helpful staff
5. Decent food available at the restaurant
Overall, my experience was great at the hotel. Would definitely recommend to others visiting the surroundings.

Specious rooms. Booked this hotel for view. But when went there there is lots of construction work going on. All the junk is thrown behind and through window you can see all the junk metal. There needs to be some gardening done so that place can be well decorated and bushes behind the window will not block your proper view. Plus move that public toilet somewhere else!!! While having dinner we want to see waterfall, not who is going to washroom..
Bathroom glasses were missing which gives little odd feeling.
Pros are,
Very near to fall view point. So if you step out of your room then after few steps you will get great view.
Its calm place.
Food is good, I liked it.
Tea in nice.
One of the blanket was torn, but clean.

Tunga Block and Cafeteria Block are just adjacent to each other separated by Mesh Compound (and Monkeys 🐒 on it ;) )
These two blocks are opposite to "I love Jog" visitors compound and KPCL Guest House block.

*No need of entry fee/parking fee if you book accommodation here else they charge you a nominal fee of 50/4wheeler and 10/head.*

If you are expecting Falls view, book AC rooms since only 3-4 of all the available 10-12 rooms don't have falls view. Else if you are expecting to experience old school construction and Mangalore Tiles (Bricks) roof over head, nonAC Deluxe rooms to be booked.

WiFi was available in all the three blocks. Check with respective Admin for passwords. Tunga block had sufficient routers to provide us 48Mbps downlink and 44Mbps uplink. So workation is quite possible.

Complimentary Breakfast is truely awesome and unlimited (except water bottles). However there could have been sufficient staff to service all the residents (accommodation holders) or they should have allowed visitors only for take-away than dine-in. Just 2 members (apart from kitchen staff) cannot serve both visitors and residents. Admin gives you Breakfast coupons either on the day or just after check-in. Keep them safe.

If you wish to feel RAW (unadulterated) feel of monsoon post lockdown, this place is recommended.

PS:
Tunga block is NONAC block. Don't believe in MMT receipt (it says the other way).

The positives were room was large and well appointed. The food at the hotel restaurant was consistently good. The hotel is right next to the Jog falls view point so the location is very good. The negatives being that the restaurant is small and crowded through the day so getting a table is a challenge. In addition, there is lot of construction work in the area making the surrounding area a big mess
