Chini Bungalow Homestay, Kalpa

This place is amazing. Located right at the center of the main market. The views from this place are amazing as well with the entire Kinner Kailash range visible.

In the mornings and evenings you also get to hear the chants from the Monastery nea4by, which again is just a 2 minute walk from the place.

The caretaker, Totaram is an amazing person as well. Always willing to help and assist in anyway possible. We were a group of 3, and though a room there is for twin sharing, Totaram was kind enough to let as all stay in the same room, that too at no extra cost.

It must be noted that you do not get meals served at this place, but all restaurants and eating places are maximum 3 minute walk away.

We loved our stay here and whenever I visit Kappa, I am definitely going to stay at Chini Bungalow again.

Really liked the place
It is a small and cozy homestay situated in one of the best locations in Kalpa.
The caretaker Mr. Totaram is really sweet and maintains the homestay really well.
The place can NEVER be crowded because the homestay has ONLY 5 rooms and thus the maximum number of people that this place can accommodate is 10.
Rooms have attached washrooms and they are neat and clean. Geysers are attached to all the washrooms for hot water supply 24x7.
The homestay also has a small lawn and the view of the Kinner Kailash range from the homestay is really worth it.
But, this place gets filled really fast so make sure that you book it well in advance.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Apparently we were the first customers of the season. Totharam the care taker is a very nice guy. He'll help you with all your needs and concerns. The place was cleaned for us and Geyser and everything was fixed for us as we informed weeks back that we will be staying here. Would definitely come here again as this place for photographers. It has Ana amazing view of the Kailash range. At night you can do star gazing and Astrophotography.

Take the maroon stairs from the market (Chauk) and within 2-3 minutes you will see CHINI BUNGLOW on your left. It's at a perfect hight, not too far from the main market and the village, so you can easily go down for food or visit the village which has the temple & monestry and not too low for you to miss the view of the mighty mountains. It is a beautiful home stay, the view from here is spectacular and you can clearly listen to the morning and evening budhist prayer from here, with clouds in the background of kalpa these prayers makes the town look like a dream Island. Totaram ji who looks after the homestay is really helpful, he can give you lots of tips to go around the village. The rooms are good, you will find a comfortable bed and warm water which is very important at this hight. I went around village looking for homestayes and after looking at almost 7-8 properties this one was what I found the best!

Had a wonderful stay at Chini bungalow. Magnificent views of the Kinnaur kailash range from the balcony. Caretaker totaram is ver helpful. But not suitable for the elderly persons with knee problems , as you have to climb 30/35 steps to reach the place.
