Hotel Surya Vadodara

The experience was not of a 5 star. The front desk was kind of rude. I wanted an early check in as timing of flights to and from Delhi is such, however, hotel made sure to appear as how big favor they were doing. At least 20 people checked out in front of me and i had to also check out at 5AM next morning, still I was made to sit 2.30 hours in lobby, telling that accounts team will question it.
Coming to rooms, rooms are good spacious enough, consisting of all amenities. Swimming pool is small on 1st floor. Breakfast spread was normal, again not something other 5 star properties offer. Will suggest other properties if you want to get the 5 star experience.

the most legendary named Surya hotel at Baroda is a huge disappointment now ever days. not at all worth the price charged. absolutely dusty area/clogged toilet/blocked shower/jets. housekeeping as only floors are wipes and sofa/Chair/bed/other furniture are really really BAD and ine will not like to use. should not take breakfast deal the menu us pathetic and has limited choice. a big no to surya hotel cleanliness/hygiene/bathroom/Food almost every damn thing is low standard and there is no supervisory done NY the management

Good place, toilets can be a bit cleaner. Breakfast spread could be slightly better.
Very friendly staff. Infact very supportive staff . Good management. Value for money. It's just 10 min walk away from station.

The food was very poor and the service was very bad. We had come there for a function, but such service would be useless. We didn't even think about staying at the hotel.

We did our son's thread ceremony in one of their banquets. From the start of the planning till final execution, Mr. Ravi, the owner gave more than 100% support in everything. He is a pleasure to talk to and extremely hospitable. On the day of the occasion, the services of the decorator were prompt. The food service was great too. All the staff were very hospitable and responsive.
The only negative was that some of the food items turned out to be too spicy for general liking. It would have been really perfect if that didn't happen.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our decision and recommend the place for events that needs Gujarati cuisine menu.

Overall its a very economical and well located property. The food is good. Buffet breakfast comes complimentary with room tariff. The staff is well trained and well behaved. Service is a bit slow though. Pricing is on the higher side for foods.

Worst service I have ever seen in a hotel. No hygiene at all. Used Linen.

I arranged a business meeting in their banquet and that was the worst experience for my clients. No service staff available. The sales manager is not at all interested to work on improvement areas. Owners needs to take a look on that.

Once the meeting started, speakers were not working. It wasted the whole time. Even the starters weren't ready to serve the guests. And when you ask why it took this much time the sales manager said chef comes at this time and that time. I suggest not to recommend this hotel for banquet booking.

I never checked in to a more worst hotel than this. The room was stinking with Cigarette smell and when informed the counter, it is told that this is the only room available. While checking in no proper answer was given. Very bad and rude behavior. The person need to learn how the service industry works. I will never check into this hotel again..
