Hotel Aiwan E Shahi

I stayed here for a week in super delux room.
Service is very poor
They didn't clean the room for once.
When we complained then they just clean the floor.
Never changes the bedsheets and towel.
Staffs are rude.
Roof was damaged. And water was leaking from roof and window. After repeated complain no one came to clean the room.
Bukhara is also their hotel and I don't think service will be any better.

The hotel is very good. The view and nearby location. The staff was helpful and amenities was too good.


Just it is difficult to find Ola or Uber readily and have to rely on electric and auto rickshaw.
The were very comfortable.

I stayed here a night of Eid to celebrate my husband’s birthday because we wanted to soak in the cultural vibe. It was such a great experience. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The rooms have beautiful window to gaze at the Jama Masjid. They are also very comfortable and clean. The terrace is breathtaking. I have tried Chinese/Nepalese cuisine in Delhi but except a handful of very expensive places, the chef at this hotel makes best food. Limited choice, but delicious and authentic. We were very surprised how affordable and pocket friendly this hotel place given the facilities and the view. Highly recommend it!

A nice hotel in the heart of Old Delhi. Our room was comfortable with a warm shower - it was also astonishingly quiet throughout the night given how close to Jama Masjid the hotel is, although this may vary room by room. The rooftop bar / cafe is also handy if you'd like food but don't want to head out into the hustle and bustle of Delhi.

The hotel is well located - reasonably close to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid of course, however it was quite difficult to get to via taxi as the traffic surrounding the hotel is severe during rush hours.

The location first. The hotel is right in the heart of Old Delhi, opposite the Jama Masjid. The hotel is very good. Neat and clean beds and bathrooms, looks like renovated recently. The staff was very professional and helpful happy to see good people around and amenities was too good.

They charge 180 per tea. Which they have brought from other tea hotel.
Only cafe view is good. But the location is very crowded all the time. This hotel is very noisy on weekends as the cafe is operational till late night. Outsiders coming to cafe makes noise which is disturbance to the guests staying in this hotel. Rooms are good But there are not of cockroaches roaming in the rooms. If you are looking for a budget stay then it's ok. Check in progress had a long wait time. On call the guy had confirm rooms were ready. But when we reached there we were sitting in reception more than an hour. After that we got only 1 room. The. After some time other room was given.

Shadab and his staff are very very helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way for us. We cancelled another previously booked hotel so that we could come back a second time. Clean, well located. And the roof top restaurant for dinners and breakfast, excellent.

The location of this place is fantastic: directly opposite the Jama Masjid, in the heart of Old Delhi. The rooftop bar with Jama Masjid view is downright magnificent. The room was fine, not too big but with a great bed; however, the bathroom was unacceptable. The hose next to the toilet was leaking, which led to a puddle on the other side of the toilet. We hung things to dry in the bathroom, they weren't dry three days later; clearly the fan is not up to the task. The shower cabin rail had some black stains at the bottom which we'd better not get too close to. The aircon unit emitted a nasty smell. So, that's three stars, I guess? Avoid if you cannot handle these cleanliness issues, definitely go here if location is what you go for. I will say that I do not regret staying here.
