La Calypso Hotels

Thank you for making our holiday memorable. Beautiful place to stay in the center of Baga beach, we stayed in sea view cottage, excellent one, we enjoyed our stay, just on the beach, fingers licking restaurant la-shake. Breakfast is good. Overall best, we didn't go out for a day, entire day we spent in the cottage, we walked to Beach, ate in la-shake, relaxed on their private shake, enjoyed the view from the room.

My company had booked La Calypso hotel for our annual meet for 95 people. It was all good and comfortable.
Buffet meals were all fine and tasty. They have Big pool clean and tidy .
Hotel is directly connected to the main Baga beach.
Overal we had a good stay .

I would have rated it bad but just because of some of the staff I thought it wouldn't be fair to them. We were in a suites& it was hopeless. We had booked it in 2021 & had to postpone due to Corona cases ballooning. I informed them that we will visit in November 2022 & they sent me a new quote which was 40000 more than last year's. Also, when i asked if the casino was operating, they advised that due to some maintenance it was closed but they will open it on Diwali. We were there on the 9th Nov & the casino was still closed. The rumours were, the partners had some disputes. So they asked for more money despite the casino not open, plenty of maintenance issues in the hotel, lack of room amenities etc. I even left a feedback for the head chef & restaurant manager but apparently no one took any notice & didn't bother to come & chat. On the whole I will strong recommend not to book this hotel. You will find much better accommodation for the price they are charging.

Me and my family we stayed at LA calypso from 25 to 28 Oct in a super deluxe room. Rooms are specious and clean. We were offered minibar free. My son enjoyed.

Breakfast was good, swimming pool is amazing. Staff is very friendly

My family visited the Hotel in the last week of November. The space is very well maintained, clean and hygienic. The staff is cordial and very responsive. All our needs were taken care of.
Security is tight too.

The food in the restaurant is nice with a good buffet and breakfast spread. Special thanks to 'HIMANSHU' and 'PARMESHWAR' who took care of our food needs and extended the menu to accommodate our taste and specifications during our stay.

It was a good decision to stay at LA CALYPSO.

The resort is not a 5 star property to begin with. The food menu and preparation was average. The staff was cordial and did their best with whatever limited resources they were provided with. The saviour was the company of friends.

The property proudly proclaims 5*, but it is no where near. Period of stay 9 - 12 Dec 2022.
1. Pathetic rooms, which are overpriced also. Stayed in a so called suite. Felt worse than a low budget lodge. No provision of room iron. Poorly kitted rooms. Bar refrigerator was making loud noise. Torn sofas. Old linen & bathroom towels. Broken/ misfit bathing enclosure inside washroom.
2. Unclean premises.
3. Buffet spread below average.
4. Rolling curtains not functioning.
5. Restaurants are dirty. Frequency of cleaning not ensured.
6. Rude staff. When complained about shortcoming in service, received a cold shoulder.

Many more points. If possible avoid this property.

Claims to be a 5-Star but I don’t know how. It definitely is up for a review and I’m sure their stars will go to 2. Their hospitality sucks. The staff is absolutely incompetent and rude af. The property is not even that clean and is super old. The only thing good about it is the La Shack Restaurant and the staff there plus the location. Would not recommend staying here!
