If you are visiting this hospital, make sure you are free throughout the day. Consultation takes minimum 3 hrs and if there is a scan it might take upto 5hrs to complete scanning and consultation. There is absolutely no process to take prior appointments and the staff does not follow any process to send patients for consultation in order. When asked, the staff says this is the way they operate and not willing to take any suggestions. I have also seen staff letting their known people soon for consultation, even though there are people waiting prior to them. Doctors are experienced and amazing. The 2 stars are only for them.

I really had a bad experience. During one of the scanning sessions the doctor was discussing about kancheevaram sarees with the other workmate. The doctor was not even courteous that a pregnant lady is lying and to show the baby to her. I don't know her name otherwise would have mentioned. I got into pre mature labour pains and Dr.Vijaylakshmi without checking said that the baby might not be even 1 kg and can't guarantee and referred to SDM. The labour ward was extremely dirty. later when we went to SDM hospital they said the baby was 2.3 kg. Later the doctors in SDM managed well and I delivered a healthy baby after 2 weeks which was 3.2kg. In Tavargeri Dr. Sanjeev Kulkarni is good and he is not available for all the delivaries. Because of him I had consulted there and he was not available on the day when required. One star is for him. I would not recommend this hospital to anybody.

No sense of time in the hospital, Have to wait for hours for our turn atleast they have to upgrade to token system so that the patients don’t have to waste their entire day for the consultation.

The worst hospital you can choose for your delivery. They keep every newborn into nicu (which is usual) but they don't give the baby even after hrs and days.
Initially they say for observation, then they keep in icu saying baby should learn how to latch then only they will give to ward, and that can go for days.. new mom after her delivery is expected to walk all the way from ward to icu at stipulated time and she is supposed to feed baby and that's how baby learns latching is their Funda. That to if you have insurance done.. they will keep baby for more than a week giving same reason as baby is not latching. And they do not have in-house paed. He comes once in mmg and once in evening and you got to wait for any updates about your baby in nicu until they come.. and that is the only time you get to know any updates. The worst frustrating period you will have if you choose this hospital for your delivery.

Had a very bad experience after admitting in tavargeri nursing home.
Nursing staffs are so....rude and careless. Their behaviour with all the patients made me feel like i am in a govt.hospital.they dont know how to behave with a pregnant women.whatever issue you have, you have to wait till they finish gossiping. One more problem is uncleanliness and billing counter people are not interested to work.
Even baby nursing staffs are careless cause you have to follow up for everything otherwise they will just forget you.
No complaints about the doctors and opd staff but there is no time management during the monthly visits.otherwise no issues.
I have given 1 star only for the doctors and opd staffs.

Good hospital is what we hear from a decade old people who visited . But this isnt the same now .. Too much wait time for pregnant womans . Not clean at all. The public toilets here are so pathetic that would make hospital license go away .

Longer waiting period and once we show to one of the doctor next time they wont allow us to go there and they end up sending to some new doctor .

So we cant be dependent on clean and proper updates on babys health.

Few doctors are good here but the management gets to decide whom the patient need yo visit everytime they go in .

Most dependent doctor here is Sanjeev Kulkarni and others are mostly surving on him .

I believe they must give choice to people to choose whom to visit and whom they can trust to have healty baby

Due to negligence and rude behaviour of the nursing staff we lost out baby last week soon after 2 days the baby is born.
Due to fever after the post BCG vaccine and negligence of the nursing staff for treating the baby accordingly for fever, we lost our baby,😭 The night shift nursing staff did the negligence and due to this we lost our baby. Our relatives also stopped going to hospital soon after this incident occurred. there are 2 pregnant womens in our relatives they were also visiting this hospital from the day 1 of pregnancy, but now they stopped going to this hospital and took admission in other hospital in dharwad. This hospital sucks due to the rude and negligence behaviour of some nurses. Hope this wont happen for you if you are already visiting this hospital, it's my prayers.
