Sherpa Residency was absolutely perfect for my week in Darjeeling. Everything about the place was exactly as described. It is very easy to find, and is situated in an area close to the heart of the town overlooking the beautiful mountains. The place itself is sparkling clean, fresh and well furnished with good provisions such as clean towels, spacious rooms, hot shower and cozy beds. It is even nicer than it looks in the pictures, perfectly located, yet very quiet. Not to miss, the host family is warmly kind, friendly and interactive. I was frequently offered snacks and tea. I loved having our little chat over meals.
Everything on Minzur's AirBnB account was clear and accurate, from the instructions as to how to get to the home stay, his tour guidance, his description of the area itself. He also gave superb recommendations on where to shop, eat and move around. Amazing host!! I entirely enjoyed my stay at his residency. So grateful and highly recommended

Scam alert !!! They have contracted their property to a scamster by the name atoz travels and claim their are within 300m from city centre. However, the property is in Sonoda !!!
Location pin is absolutely incorrect. Beware and do not be fooled. There is nothing above Reliance Digital.

Biggest scam ever. I booked this property via Booking.com. I received a call from the property asking for a 50% advance, which I paid, given its was peak season. The confirmation voucher said a2z reservations. Upon reaching the location mentioned on google and booking.com, we never found the property! When I contacted the property, they told me to come further ahead to a place called Sonada, 15 kms away from Darjeeling. On arguing with them for 1 hour, we finally had to find another property for ourselves somewhere in the city. On the same day, these scammers were selling the fake property with the incorrect location at triple the price! On cancelling the reservation via booking.com and fighting for a refund if the advance we had paid, the same people had the audacity to WhatsApp me an image with a new booking that they received from an unsuspecting customer, charging them 31000 INR. The message accompanying this said, “now you see what I do”. A2zroomz.com are basically scamming people via booking.com and booking.com is letting them.

দারুণ অভিজ্ঞতা। খুব ভালো লাগলো এখানে থাকতে পেরে। এখানে কাটানো প্রত্যেকটি মূহুর্ত আমার জীবনে স্মৃতি হয়ে থাকবে। তাঁরা খুব সুন্দর ভাবে আমাদেরকে গাইড করেছে, সুন্দর ও দর্শনীয় স্থান গুলো দেখতে, এবং জানতে। ভবিষ্যতে সুযোগ পেলে পুনরায় এই রেসিডেন্সিতেই থাকার ইচ্ছে প্রকাশ করছি। ধন্যবাদ।
