An old civilisation most probably of 11 th century, can be seen in ruined stage. Re establishment of the site for tourism purpose is still awaited. There are lot of puzzles yet to be solved. Nothing great in the museum is preserved but an untold story...

In 2013 and 2014, the archaeological excavation of Chandravati was done under the joint leadership of Institute of Rajasthan Studies (Literary Institute), Janardanrai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur and Rajasthan State Archaeological Department, Jaipur. An inscription of Samvat 1325 has also been found at the entrance. Chandravati's inscriptions and copper plates are preserved in the Mount Abu Museum. It was the capital of Parmar rulers. In whom there have been glorious kings like Yashodhaval and Dhara Varsha.
After the Parmars, the Deora Rajputs took over the Chandravati city in the 14th century and the Chandravati city was destroyed due to invasions in the 15th century.

परमारों के पश्चात चन्द्रावती नगरी पर चौहदवी शताब्दी में देवड़ा राजपूतों का अधिकार हो गया तथा 15 वीं शताब्दी में आक्रमणों के कारण चन्द्रावती नगर ध्वस्त हो गया.

It's a museum built near archeological site of Chandravati in Abu road. There are sculptures in this museum and remains of pottery can be seen here. It's a good museum but I think very few people know about this. Also need good maintenance for the building.
