One of the most amazing views in the region - lake/dam + valley views on one side, farmland views on the other.
There's also a temple here and many small shops selling drinks and souvenirs. A must-visit (a bit of a detour though) if you are in the Mahabaleshwar area.

Good Fort....but mostly for Sarth Ramdast Swami's Math...
You can expect mahaprasad at lunch time...
Few spots are renewed in a modern way which are good for photography but a little historic touch would have given more satisfaction....ideal to take your family...

A very nice place to visit. Nice temple and awsm view. You can visit either early morning or in the evening before it's dark...otherwise you will miss some beautiful views.behind the temple there is a path which leads to beautiful scenic view of the range and water body.

If you are lucky you will get breakfast at 9 and lunch at 12 noon. You will get to see view of dam backwater surrounded by mountain from Dhabyacha Maruti.

Exploring satara..... Sajjangad Fort.....samadhi of shree Swami Samarth Ramdhas...... And story of 11 maruti....

This is one of the must visit forts near Satara city.

The Sajjangad fort is located in the mountainous terrain of the Western Ghats. Being best known as a pilgrimage site, it is one of the protected monuments in West India. This beautiful fort is situated at about 16 kms from the city of Satara....

The delicious food, also called ‘Mahaprasad’, is served in the afternoon with the chanting of mantra, “जय जय रघुवीर समर्थ (Jai Jai Raghuveer Samarth)”. You should not miss that. If you want to do spiritual practice, you will get free accommodation at Sajjangad Fort. It’s more of a Spiritual Place rather than a tourist place or a picnic spot.

This is one of the best tourist places to visit in Satara with family and children. There are around 250 steps. So it will take around 15 min of walk to reach the top of the fort from the parking place.

There are many beautiful viewpoints at Sajjangad such as Lord Ram Temple, Lord Hanuman Temple. The rainy season is the best time to visit this fort as you can see many scenic views of Urmodi Dam from the top of the Sajjangad.

I visit here almost every year whenever I visit my native....my village is located near this fort.
You'll get very refreshing views all around the fort. This surrounded by mountains from all sides.
Very easy to climb and there are people selling refreshments on the way to up..
Has paid as well as free parking.
Monkeys here are very well behaved...... They will come close to you and wait for you to give anything for them to eat..
