One of the most fantastic and historical places in baroda. More than half portion of the place is destroyed but the rest of part is amazing and and many beautiful paintings are there in which European culture, mughal culture and paintings of bhagvad Geeta.....

Visited Feb 2019.
One of the nicest places to visit in Vadodara, but one that is relatively unknown. A must visit IMO. The simple exterior is misleading. There are really beautiful paintings, murals, wood carvings inside. The caretaker had gone for lunch when I was there so I could see even areas that are normally off limits to visitors (see attached pics). I don't know if the stuff inside is original or has been restored by the ASI. Only the front two floors are open for viewing the rest is in a dilapidated condition.

A heritage site at vadodara must visit once. We went for cycling and then visited aur Sagar Lake, mandvi gate and tambekar wada.

Place is under renovation so you can see only one room in which all paintings are faded. Place like this should be repaired fast. Avoid this place if your schedule is tight.

Architectural details are really clever ans stunning. Just the first floor hall is open to public. Courtyard and back portion we'rent allowed to enter.

A hidden gem for people who love to explore places of historical importance. This place is unknown even to the locals, but do visit to see a place that has stood test of time and still has some intricate paintings to offer the visitors.

Good place for history buffs, more than half of the place has been destroyed and whatever stands is relatively unknown to locals. However the place has some very intricate paintings and wooden carvings that are worth a visit.
