White Memorial Hall

Sorry, I went there on 14th June 2017. It was under maintenance. So, I have no review about this place. Just want to inform others to check before they plan.

A nice british type old monument feels like you are in british era the place is near the ropeway hardly 1 km from there i guess but the place is also near a botanical garden 10 m beside it 2 floor building locked cant go inside white in colour british desigen on the walls

This White Memorial Hall is located beside the flower exhibition. It is beautiful and would attract anyone on the first look. This is one of the few British buildings left in Gangtok but no one was available to provide any information or access to this building.

The White Hall has historical value and is situated on the Ridge. It is a two storied structure and has typical British architecture and was built in 1932. It is so called not because it is, painted white but because it was built in memory of the first Political Officer of Sikkim, Claude White. There is an Officers' Club and a badminton court in the White Hall. Gangtok, Sikkim.

Absolutely nothing to see, just acts as a landmark and the cab drivers will dump you there to add it in your 10/7 point tour list.

There is nothing much to see in here. And its just added in the 7 point / 10 point tour to merely add a point.
This is a building, where entry is restricted. You just have the outside boundary with few trees and a small field to take pictures. Nothing more.
