It has been closed now because of its dilapidated condition.
You cannot enter into the main mouseleum as it is locked.
There is nothing much to see.
But a nice place to click pictures as the structure is beautiful but you can see it from outside only.
Not much visitors.
Walking distance from alwar railway station.

This tomb was made in honour of Fateh Jang who used to work in the court of Shah Jahan. The tomb of Fateh Jang is a classic representation of Rajput and Mughal architecture. It is made up of high quality minarets and sandstones, which catch everybody's attention. This tomb is a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture and was built under the reign of Shah Jahan (Mughal emperor). This five-storied splendour surpasses all the contemporary monuments.

The tomb of Fateh Jung (who was one of Shah Jahan’s ministers), is a five-storeyed monument constructed in 1647. It is also known as FatehJungGumbad and is located near the railway station in #Alwar. It is an imposing structure that is visible from far away. FatehJung was a Pathan warrior and was related to the Khanzada rulers of Alwar. His tomb is an artistic marvel and is a blend of different styles of architecture. It is dominated by an enormous dome, and the minarets exemplify its beauty. The walls and ceiling have raised plaster reliefs, and fine calligraphic inscriptions can be seen on the first floor. It is a big delight for architecture lovers to see this stunning monument in a lesser known part of Alwar.❤🤍💚

A very unique mausoleum of the Mughal era, the tomb of Fateh Jung is located right next to Alwar railway station, you can even see it from the train going towards Jaipur.
There are no charges to enter this building and people with reduced mobility can access it easily too.
The grave of Fateh Jung is looked after by a local Muslim peer but he was absent when I was there.
The entire monument is maintained by Rajasthan government which is doing a fantastic job considering that no one almost comes here.
You can even see some of the original colours of flowers on the walls and a huge earthen pot which was used probably to store large amounts of Ganga water as many Mughal emperors and nobles only used to drink that.

Built in the 17th century for the prime minister of emperor shahjehan, structure is beautiful with several layers of Islamic arches and floral designs.Inner view is very good with several arch style windows and pavilions for passage of air and sunlight. There are steps on both the sides to reach the central dome on the top for the city view and the yellow colour of tomb structure is good for photography.
