Everybody will tell you to go here - not to miss . But it's just 10 minute's walk through an abandoned village with ruins and a story . With a stamp of having been haunted . Not much to see except the temple and one house . Would not recommend going just for this - would recommend visiting as a part of other places around too . It's still vast - ruins of 400+ houses .

The abandoned village is mostly full of decaying old houses, with only a few restored and still standing (there is a temple). There is no clear evidence of what it might happened to it (lack of water, earthquake, legendary invasion). It's nice to stroll around and imagine how people might have been living.

According to a popularly held notion, the village is now inhabited by ghosts. Once a home to rich Paliwal Brahmins, the "haunted" village was abandoned by its inhabitants because of atrocities committed by a powerful minister of Jaisalmer, Salim Singh
