Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, one of the busiest railway stations in the country, was today awarded the status of a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It has completed 18 years now. Central Railway has made a tweet related to this. UNESCO included this railway station in its World Heritage List on 7 July 2004. The design of this railway station is influenced by Victorian and Mughal architecture. The structure of CST is similar to that of many railway localities in Britain.
