Thomas Inman's Dungeon

It is another dungeon of Hydar Ali. In 18Century a British officer discovered the dungeon and since that time it has named after him as Thomas Inman's Dungeon. It is another surprising place of Srirangapatna, though there is no proper entrance and not at all maintained. But if you're a curious traveler and history lover and in search of explore new places then this place is for you. Though the underground dungeon gates are locked but you will love the place, I've been there in a fine late evening when no one was there and trust me it was so thrilling. Come and explore my Srirangapatna.

In the N E corner of the fort, there is a dungeon with battery guard on its top
This dungeon was discovered in 1895 by Thomas Inman, an engineer, so was named after him.
Maratha chief Dhondia Vagh was imprisoned here.

A walk through this place gives u an eerie feeling.... We could feel the pain of prisoners

The place is not at all maintained, it's more like abundant. Not a good place to visit tho with family. If you want to explore over here, go in a group.
