The temple is recently renovated. The place isn't too silent for a temple. Its just beside the Khosbagan road and the place remains very crowded all day long. In Kaali pujo, the festival is held with great enthusiasm.

Don't misled yourself by seeing and judging this small Kali Mandir as what is in it....This is Ma Khinnitala Kali, one of Burdwan's most favoured and respected Goddess Kali and her shrine. The location is great, at the heart of Khosbagan, Burdwan but at the same time it is a ban as the place is always overcrowded and jam is a regular occurrence. Paying respect to your heart's content to Ma Kali is somewhat a little problem here but people from all over Burdwan come here overcoming all such difficulties.... after all, this is Ma Khinnitala Kali. And during Kali Puja..the view is just breathtaking and the during immersion the procession is just awe inspiring.
