Hanuman Chatti Temple

This temple is situated between pandukeshwar and badrinath. Mostly people stops here to get blessing of lord Hanuman for safe journey. Badrinath temple is just 12 km far away from here.

One of the holy place and also mentioned in Mahabharat. This is the place where Bhim’s one of the five pandavas pride over his strength was done to dust (destroyed) by Hanumanji.

Hanuman Chatti is on the Badrinath highway between Govindghat and Badrinath. There is a small orange coloured temple dedicated to the the Lord Hanuman, who is an extreme devotee of Lord Rama. Almost every pilgrim visit this place who are on their Badrinath Dham Yatra. This place also have a story related to the Pandavas.

The Hanuman Chatti Temple is located in the village of Manibhadra, in the Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is a popular religious site for pilgrims. It is believed to be the place where Lord Hanuman rested after his journey to Lanka to search for Sita. The temple is situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Mandakini and Alaknanda, which is believed to be the place where Lord Hanuman rested for some time. The temple is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the region and is visited by thousands of devotees every year. The temple also houses a number of other deities, including Lord Rama and Lord Shiva.

Within the interiors of the temple there is an impressive image of Lord Hanuman carrying a mountain. To the left of the temple there is a Samadhi of Himalaya Giri, a saint who lived and meditated in Hanuman Chatti. On top of the shrine there is a Shiva Linga.
Hanuman Chatti is also a popular trekking spot among the travellers. Hanuman Chatti used to be the starting point of the trek to reach Yamunotri but now jeep able roads are made up to Janki Chatti. The hike from Hanuman Chatti to Yamunotri is very popular among the travellers.
