One of the really large and one of the oldest temples in Mathura and always crowded with devotees both residents and from outside Mathura.
In its present form the temple was developed by the Scindias of Gwalior. Here Sri Krishna is worshipped as Dwarkadhish & Radha as Radharani.
The pillars are richly & colourfully carved are are the ceilings.
In spite of the crowd and the presence of touts as in every temple in Mathura & Vrindavan, one can steal a few quiet moments in a corner and pray in silence.

The Dwarkadhish Temple, touted as one of the holiest temples in Mathura, is famous all over the country for its elaborate architecture and paintings. Built in 1814, the temple is relatively new but is highly revered. The temple is dedicated to Lord Dwarkadheesh, a form of Lord Krishna known as Dwarkanath, depicted in a black marble idol.

Situated within the perimeter of the city's holy gate, near the ghats of River Yamuna, the temple and its surroundings are a hub of a lot of interesting activities. Thousands of devotees arrive here every day to pay their obeisance.

Beautiful Rajasthani architectural patterns and craftsmanship make the complex appear even more majestic. The Dwarkadhish temple offers you several exciting activities that increase during the Shravan month when Lord Krishna cradles inside a Hindola (a type of a swing set).It is one of the most visited temples in Mathura. Thousands of visitors gather here every day to pay their respects to Lord Krishna. You can access the temple by one of the two gates. Once inside the two-story temple premise, you can see a large courtyard with pilgrims from every corner of the world gathering and honoring the Lord.

Shri Dwarkadheesh Mandir is one of the oldest and largest Hindu temples of Mathura city in state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

This Temple is about 3.5 km from city main railway station Mathura Junction. From there many modes are available to reach the temple including buses, taxis and auto rickshaws, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the temple. A cycle rickshaw takes about 15–20 minutes only

Shri Dwarkadish temple is in Mathura at vishram ghat. The temple is clean and well maintained by the trust. One can enjoy boating in Yamuna ji near to temple. Delicious Chat and other snacks are available near to temple. While coming out of the temple, Holi market is there.
