It is said that once Maharaja Vikramaditya was roaming aroud Saryu river n he noticed a pure black man was dipping inside that river, and after few minutes when that man came out he was extremely beautiful. Vikramaditya came and asked the introduction of that man, the man tries to refuse but after seeing the eagerness of vikramaditya he said your highness I am the Raja Prayag whole year after doing the lot of sins n crime everyone come and bath in me to remove their sins and coz of that I become dirty, so as to make my soul n me divine I yearly take bath in Saryu river.
This is the same Saryu river where Lord Shri Ram was born. Then Vikramaditya questioned then Please also tell me that where is Lord Ramas place Ayodhya and where was he born then he answered that the highest place in Ayodhya used to be the Dashrath mahal and he mentioned that tomorrow morning when the sun rise just keep moving towards the east and the place where u find a cow that is the place where Lord Raam Was born. Raja Vikramaditya did the same as Prayag said then he came to know that he is the only one wo built the Chakroborty Maharaja Dashraths and its reconstruction was done Sant Baba Ramprasad Ji.

Truly remarkable structure. Not very far from the Ram Janmabhoomi Complex, the distance can be covered by walking as well and the shops nearby are a good stop to buy souveniers. The experience inside will be remembered always though.

Dasharatha Mahal is situated in the heart of Ayodhya. It is believed that this building has been built at the exact place where King Dasharatha's original abode used to be and the existence of Lord Rama's father is also associated with this place. The idols of Shri Ram, Lakshman, and Sita are installed in the temple of this building. The entrance of this temple is very big and colorful. Devotees gather in large numbers in this complex and keep doing bhajan-kirtan.

The 'Dasaratha Mahal' located in Ayodhya is a Siddha Peeth, the palace of Dashrath ji. According to the beliefs, King Dasharatha had established in this palace in Treta Yuga.

The famous Peeth of Shri Vaishnava tradition and the highest Peeth of Vindugadi are also situated at this place (Dashrath Mahal). It is situated at a distance of 50 meters from Hanuman Garhi. Maharaj Dashrath Mahal located in Ramkot is also known as Bada Sthan or Badi Sthan.

The place was nearby the Ram janmbhoomi temple and was on the way to the main temple.the grand entrance to the palace is majestic and the whole area lies in the RJB high security zone . You have to walk to the temple as no vehicles are allowed inside the high security zone.
