The place of Baida Samay Mata, located 27 km from the divisional headquarters on Basti-Dumariaganj road, has remained the center of faith of the devotees for the last five decades. Apart from Basti, devotees from Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Balrampur, Gonda and Bahraich also come for darshan. According to the regional citizens, this Siddha place is being worshiped for about a hundred years.
The place of Baida Samay Mata, located in Siwan of Jogia, a non-inhabited village of Bhanpur Gram Panchayat, was only a symbol site 30 years ago. Where devotees used to make and offer pudding and flour pudding under the neem tree after the fulfillment of their wishes or after getting the fruits. In 1993, Saroj Singh, the then SHO of Sonaha Police Station, started the initiative of development of Samay Mata's place. Not only did the rejuvenation of this place take place, at the same time this place of Goddess came to be recognized as a place of awakening.
