Shri Giriraj Ji Temple Mathura, a very religious place, devotees from all over India come here to visit, the traffic system in front of the temple is very bad, the parikrama route also needs cleaning.

Known as Govardhan or Giriraj and being the sacred center of Braj, it is identified as a natural form of Krishna. Indian art overwhelmingly prefers the iconic image, but some aniconism does occur in folk worship, early Buddhism, Shiva's Banalinga, and Vishnu's Shaligrama).

ABOUT GOVERDHAN PARIKMMA
👇
Total these Parikramas comprise of 21 Kms. It takes about 5 - 7 hours by foot to complete this Parikrama. Both these Parikramas can be completed in a single day or separately on two occasions but have to be finished in Pair i.e. if finished Govardhan Parikrma then has to finish Radha Kund also

Yes, Govardhan, 22 km from Mathura, on the road link between Mathura and Deeg, is the town where the hill is. Lord Krishn

Its a popular temple, located approx 20-25 Kms from Vrindavan, dedicated to Giriraj Ji, a natural form of Lord Krishna, who lifted the Hill on his finger, to save lives of the Brijwasi's. It's built at the center point of this hill & devotees walk around this hill for 21 Kms, called Parikrama, generally taking 5 hrs, usually barefooted. This faith of devotees is worth a praise. The symbolic small piece of mountain, approx 3 x 5 feet, is worshiped here. Sadly, cleanliness is a concern. the offering of milk, spilled all over, raises a stink as one gets inside. It is usually crowded, take care of belongings. This is not a tourist attraction but just meant for the devotees of Lord Krishna.

Govardhan is a key pilgrimage centre in India and a municipal town; a nagar panchayat; seat of a MLA Member of Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh; a Tehsil, in Mathura district in the India in state of Uttar Pradesh. About 23 kilometres from Mathura, the town is on the road link between Mathura and Deeg.
