Nice peaceful place at the lap of greenery near the city of Udaipur, Tripura. A historical place too because of not only the Bhubaneswari Temple but also for the Centuries old Royal Palace and some other half broken temples.

Historical Terracota temple built between 1660 to 1675 AD, by Maharaja Govinda Manikya. The temple is in the town of Udaipur that's easily accessed by trains/buses from Agartala. Situated on the banks of River Gomti, this temple is serene and makes for a great photo opportunity. The idyllic life and the slow pace here makes this town worth visiting. Hire a local battery powered rickshaw to go about. While at Udaipur also consider a visit to other gems here, Teen murti mandir (also wonderfully maintained by Archaeological survey of India - ASI). Its amazing to note that this was built in 17th century and still stands tall! Also check out the Royal fort and other ruins right next to this.

Great historical and religious site to visit.

Should be promoted more as part of Tripura tourism.

Nowadays you have to buy tickets (10/-) to visit the temple... But it's very calm place with natural AC...

This is a old place and nothing much there
Things that will attract you:
1. The place is cleaner
2. The small park around the heritage temple is maintained well
3. Nearby the old palace is a attraction
4. Good for model photoshoot who wants to have profile shoot on a vintage location
5. There is a watch tower, but the staircase is rusted and u should keep ur feet carefully

Things that you should consider
1. No washroom in vicinity
2. No food place
3. The last stretch of road is slanted up and is narrow, difficult for big cars to get through, if in case you encounter opposite traffic, you may be in danger
4. The road to the river side is not maintained and often unreachable

Its 1 hours drive from Agartala. Not much to explore for. At the main location, you will find one old monument in an open green field i personally didn't like it. On way to that location before 01 km, one can take stop and visit the heritage structure and can have photos clicked there.

An archaeological site maintained by the ASI..this is one of the historical sites in west Tripura that one should visit only for the sake of immersing oneself into the architectural glory of the age. It is to be noted that the idol has been removed from the main temple for preservation purpose.

Located in the once upon capital during the Kings Reign and the historical city of Tripura. It a small beautiful place, the house of Hindu Goddess Maa Bhubaneshwari. Maintained and well preserved by Archeological Survey. It is mentioned in the work of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in his Work "Rajarshi".
