Story of chennakeshava swamy temple

There was a elephant king long ago residing in present chandragiri which is called kogilvai who is Vishnu devotee
One day the elephant reaches the pond on the top of the hill in which crocodile resides it gets struck there in the pond there is a war between crocodile n elephant

Elephant praises lord Vishnu to help him lord Vishnu comes to this place to save elephant n kills crocodile this temple is one of the most important pilgrims of lord Vishnu in India which is recently getting developed by telangana government

There are local tales even on this temple.

This is one of the temple which we can see rarely..
It is situated at the top of hill..nice place to visit..good environment

Amazing place, Vehicles can reach till water tank (cc road in good condition) from water tank one has has to trek 500m to reach temple, the temple is decorated only during the festive season ie (shivarathri and holi) but during normal days you wont find any people except few sheperds with their cattle and goats.
This is one of the best place for nature lovers
Best time to visit is during post monsoon and winter season but not recommended in summer.

Filled with greenary and one of my favorite places
