Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, Kuravi

We are devotees of this veerabhadra swami varu form last 60 years, my marriage is also done with blessing of lord and at his holy feet. but happenings is not allowing us to visit this temple, due to fradulant handling of purohits at temples, performing pooja after taking liqueur, and the worse too much price for performing any pooja, suppose i used to perform Sarvanghabhisekham when ever i visit this temple it nothing but abhisekham and it takes about 1 hour or even less, all pooja dravyas to be supplied by us the charge was earlier 100 latter increased to 150, i visited last in 2011 but due to other reasons i couldnot able to visit, yester day i called to temple authorities about my visit on this monday (16-09-2013 ) to perform abhisekham i expected even after hike it could be about 200-250 but i shocked to here the charge has been increased to 1116/- quite unbelivable and shocking, why this endowment department is restricting devotees to perform pooja and archana, even after paying 1116 still i asked about pooja dravyas and temple authorities said that shoud be brought by us temple can not provide. at srisailam special abhisekham is costing about Rs 600 and rudra homam is at cost of RS 1200 but this rs 1116 for abhisekham is at none other then expect kuravi temple. god save your devotees from this Endowment looters

It is between vijayawada and warangal railway stations, nearest railway station is Mahabubabad. From hyderabad by train it takes 3.5hours

The festival which attracts the maximum number of footfalls in the Kuravi Veera Bhadra Swamy Temple is the Mahasivratri Brahmothsavam festival. This is one of the biggest festivals to be celebrated in Kuravi. It celebrates the celestial wedding of Sri Veerabhadra Swamy and his consort Sri Bhadrakali.

It is famous for shivaratri festival. After that hererice selling are made by government associations. It us very useful place to all people. Sravanamasam, karthikamasam nagulachaviti fest celebrated here.this has another name naganna temple.
