Sri Chenna Malleeswarar Temple is at Georgetown area and right at the business hub of Chennai. The consort is Sri Brahmmarambigai. Big temple built around 400 years ago. The British while building St. George Fort and Reserve Bank of India removed many temples at that area and the Deities were placed at this temple

The shiva temple labeled as Sri Chenna malleswara with consort bramarambika is separated just by wall of kesavaperumal temple on it's right called Patnam kovil. Though located in a busy area the place attracts a section of regular devotees. The sculptures and maintenance is good. All religious festivals carried on appropriately on the occasions including car festival. It is surrounded by umpteen flower garland shops.Parking of scooters cars on normal days hard thing. It is walkable from flower bazar police station on west. All business establishments are surrounded here. So shopping can also be finished. A saivite must not miss to visit this temple frequented by scholars gnanis hermits. Om namashivaya

Beautiful and old temple located close to the Broadway Bus stand. The temple is one of the pattanam temples, the other being Chenna Kesava Perumal temple. Both these temples were in the exact spot where Madras High court stands today and were shifted to the current location after a fire accident orchestrated by the British. The temple is calm and serene. Lord Chenna Maleeswara and Ambal Brahmarambika are waiting to bless us, do visit and you will like them temple. The Chenna Kesava Perumal temple is very close and you can visit both these temples in one go.
