One of the best temple in Chennai. Everyone must visit this temple. Will get divine vibe with during festival times due to crowd as well as instruments. Not very big temple in comparison with some other big temples in the Chennai. There was no special ticket dharshan which was good. Parking can be very hard we we have to park in the surrounding of the temple in the road side.

Absolutely divine! The Goddess is very powerful and merciful. One unbiased temple where they take let you share your star and gothram details even when you just participate as a devotee and haven’t paid for Abhishekam. It gets very crowded on Tuesdays, Fridays and weekend. But nevertheless you feel satisfied and not rushed to pray. Parking is the main issue here cos when you go during business hours it gets tough to park near the temple cos local businesses don’t want you to park in front of their stores which is understandable.

Ambal gave blessings to Chatrapathi Shivaji so maharashtrians must come. This is one of the famous temple in the Parry's area which is famous for the places like Madras High Court, RBI, Chennai Fort, other banking headquarters, etc. Lord Arulmigu Sri Kaligambal is a powerful goddess here and the goddess was worshipped by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to win the war against his rivals. Lord Sri Kamateshwarar is at left side of ambal. Saint Vishwabrahmin is also have a separate small shrine here and the temple is being managed by Vishwakarma community. A must visit temple in chennai city.

Again today, a first time darshan of the most powerful goddess of all. Rushed from Vadapalani to here by Metro, the fastest mode to reach here. Some kind of homa with special poojas in temple today. Very small, yet calm and powerful deity.

Devi Parashakti is Kalikambal here- She is a beautiful combination of Kaliamma in the form of Kamakshi amma with a mahameru (a 3D form of the Sri yantram-the very form of Parashakti) in her garbhagriham. Her consort Shiva is called Kamateshwara. There are temples to Gayatri devi, Durga devi and Pratyangira devi (a huge murti). Chathrapati Shivaji Maharaj had visited this temple (as recorded in the temple). The Ganapathy is Siddhivinayaka and Kartikeya here is with Valli (icha shakti) and Devasena (Devayanai in Tamizh-kriya shakti). There is a stone inscription of the beautiful song "Ullam Uruguthaya" by Shree Andanvan Pichi amma. There are temples to Bhadrakali sametha Veerabhadra (the form of Shiva who removed the ahankaara or ego of Daksha) and Virat Vishwakarma swamy. Do visit this temple, meditate for some time and watch devi Parashakti change your life for good. The abhishekam that is done in early morning is a beautiful puja one should book or try to attend.
