Beautiful and serene temple I have ever been to. The peace and happiness I felt there stays with me.
Must visit in Kumbakonam. Easily spotted since its situated in the center of the city. If you visit once, you will definitely visit again when you are back in the city.

Ancient Nageswaran Shiva temple located in kumbakonam near to bus stand. Very big temple and famous for Raaghu thosham parikara sthalam. Temple architecture is mixed of rock style art work and Thanjavur wall painting in one tower. Need to maintain the art work and kalvettu well.

In Hinduism it is believed that Adhisheaha is
holding this earth on his head. When Adishesha was in trouble Godesses Parvahi blessed him to have a strength. Because of this teme was named as Nageshwaram temple. This temple was built during 9th century by Rajendra chola. This is in Kumbakonam area and it was ruled by chola, pallava and vijayanagara kings. Expansion of temple done by each period of ruling upto 16th century..
