The main deity is Lord Nandigeswarar and the street was named after the deity called as "Nadhi Kovil Street". The placement of this Nandhi will be facing towards the Lord Thayumaneswar in the Rockfort temple. The size of Nandhi may be the next (small) after to Brahatheeswara Temple in Tanjore. Other deities in the temple is Lord Vinayagar and Lord Sri Anjaneyar. Saturdays are usually crowded and Vada Malai is famous among the poojas for this Lord Anjaneyar. Can see the temple from the street and get a dharsan as you are in the place.

Now houses have come up in between and Nandhi is separated from the main temple
