Small murugan temple opposite to Trichy railway station

This temple is one of the oldest temples in Trichy. It is a small temple located just opposite the tiruchiralpally railway station. It is located right at the junction. One can find many flower vendors around the temple. The locals claim that the God is very powerful. I personally felt the temple to be really peaceful and divine. The deity here is Shri Murugan, son of Lord Shiva and Parvathy. Various poojas and are conducted here on important occasions.

I visited this place on tge day of Dussehra while we were returning from Pondicherry to Bangalore. We had stopped at tge near by Sankar Cafe to have our Dinner. However, we were lucky and fortune to see the rath yatra of Ramji Lord on the day of Dussehra.
