The place was serene. In side of a forest, by the side of kaveri river.. few people were there. Plenty of butterflies and birds.. the road to the place was bumpy though and it was a mud road.. my car tyre got bursted.. so be careful if you are planning for there..

Best time to visit during monsoon. Really good place, specially for riders.
Single day ride from Bangalore.

One of the best weekend gateaway from Bengaluru.. approx 100kms ! One of the best off beat experience you will have when you visit Dabbagulli! Close to nature in the middle of Cauvery Wildlife sanctuary! A paradise for nature lovers!

Scenic place for a ride or a picnic. Not crowded. Access road is a bit tricky. But nice place. Bring ur own food and water.

A worthy(and scary at times) off road drive experience. Be ready for some nice body ache once you back home. The final stretch of travel is quite tricky. "Rocky Road". Bikers can manage but 4 wheelers, will test your skills. Not impossible. The destination was okay. During our visit, the river had strong currents and the water was quite dirty. Didn't bother getting close to it. It's an experience. Not a comfortable one but a worthy one. Might visit again but not going alone. Obviously zero signal/network. If car gets stuck, there's no one to call for help.

Lovely place to see the temple and spend time at the Cauvery river. Does not look very dangerous to play in the water if you play close to the banks of the river and better not to go deep as it can be dangerous.

No food and drink available here so please carry them along with you.

Can be very hot so keep your sun protection creams, caps and hats and sunglasses handy.

Park where there is hard earth as it is difficult to remove vehicles in the loose sand.

Roads to the river for about 20 km are quite challenging and like a dirt track so be prepared.

Overall a good place to visit and spend quality time.

Stay safe and drive safe 👍🏽

Tread carefully, roads are pretty bad for about 4-5 kms before the destination and a few kms in between. Carry ample water and food as there are no shops nearby. Could see a petty shop at barricades where fee is collected (₹100 for 4w, ₹30 for 2W). Gate opens at 0800 and closes by 1800, so plan accordingly. Temple is under renovation. Though, it is flowing water, the place is one stop shop for buffaloes, cows, people bathing ( caution strong under currents), the banks are littered with plastic bottles, beer cans, glass bottles. Not recommended for family outing.

The river front is a great place to let your head down and get into the cold flowing river and relax. You can take a teppa boat ride as well to the other side of the bank which we didn't try. The gate to this place closes by 4:30pm, so plan well. But beware the road to this place will send a chill down your spine.
