The location of Rathnagiriswarar temple is in a busy and beautiful Besant Nagar area. The surroundings is quite calm and divine. Lord vinayakar, murugar, ramar, Dhakshinamurthy bless the devotees with their abundant love. Excellent feelings one would get after visiting this unassuming & serene temple. Visited to participate in the Dhakshinamurthy & hayagreevar homam and get divine blessings organized by Bhaktha Mandali. Sincere & dedicated noblest people performed the rituals with great passion & love for the society & children. The energy & inner feeling we had during this proceedings are unexplainable. After the poornaahuti blessed gifts - writing pens are distributed for the subscribers. Really wonderful session we had here.

It's a beautiful Siva Temple at Besant Nagar, in the heart of Chennai. Here HE is named Shri Rathnagiriswarar! They do Pujas, Abishekams in a very traditional manner. Even Perumal, Lakshmi and Anjaneyar are there ...

Very divine place for worship. All Vedhas n formalities are followed by temple authorities systematically. Alangaram are very beautiful.

A Shiva temple in Besant Nagar. The temple is neatly maintained. But the archagas in the temple lack that devine devotion while performing rituals. They look very bored and do things mechanically

We went this temple today. Travelled nearly 15 kilometres. All became waste. Google said temple open till 11 a.m. We have reached at 10.05 a.m. But, temple was closed....55 minutes before. Got Disappointed.
Being New year, they could have not done like this. 🙄🙄

Calm and Quiet temple to mediate. As like other Shiva temple, in this temple they perform Pradosham, Sivaratri, Navratri and all Hindu festivals in a grand manner.

There is no Dwajasthambam (a Flagstaff otherwise Kodi maram). You can worship Lord Ganesha, Murugan, Sri Ram, Maa Sita & Lakshman (all the three in one sannathi) opposite to this sannathi Lord Hanuman sannathi is there. Separate sannathi's for Sri Rathnagiriswarar & Sri Aralakesi Amman (very beautiful and eye catching), Navagraha and Nagam.

During Iypassi (ஐப்பசி) month Full mood day Annabishekam is being performed to Lord Shiva.

Kanchi Maha Periyava and his holy foot wear (Paadha rakshe) in silver can be worshipped.

Time to time they announce in the mic to follow social distance, wear mask and sanitize hands.
