Nice hill temple.. u have to climb few steps to reach.. lord muruga in golden coat looks elegant.. main door was locked when we visited.. very less crowd as general crowd is not aware of this temple, people visit here based on google reviews and net search..

Surprised to find this beautiful hill temple that too within the Ooty City limits. At a height of almost 7500 feet above sea level, this temple is built adjacent to a rock hill which adds to the beauty and one has to climb few steps to enter the temple. Outside the temple is a big statue (approx 40 feet) of Lord Murugan (Karthikeyan) which reminds us of famous Batu Cave Temple in Malaysia. Visit this place early morning and enjoy the peaceful surroundings till the time temple is opened. The roads nearing the temple are not so good, hence be careful while driving. One of the lesser known places in Ooty and hence clean and well maintained.

The Temple at the peak of elk hills, located at one of the beautiful part of entire Ooty. Never miss this place, I had been here early morning and it was totally worth it.

Murugan koli is really nice temple, statue of murugan is really big and that's the attraction here. But path is not so easy for vehicles. Slope is more and road is also not very good. Roads are sufficient for only one vehicle. If any vehicle is coming from opposite direction it becomes hell.if your car can climb on a good slope it's good. Otherwise will suggest to walk for around half a kilomitar.

Very quiet and peaceful, well maintained and clean temple. The pujari ji will tell you all about Lord Kartikeya and will explain in detail about the small temples in the compound and the large idol. The views from the top are amazing as well. This is however situated on a height so it is advisable to go by a car or a taxi, although auto can reach there with some effort as well. Very highly recommended.

This temple is located on the inner most residential areas of Elk hill.. where it is surrounded by long trees and lush greeneries. This spot is just a pure bliss to have family time together, with all the peaceful and calming environment around us and the cool breeze makes us stress-free and relaxes our mind. An important point about this place is, the huge Lord Muruga statue like we see in Malaysian temple, and it’s absolutely one of the rare places where such statue can be seen in India.
Don’t forget to visit this temple if you’re making a trip to Ooty
