Though it is called Sitharkadu since in those days Siddhars used to pray in this temple, but the present name of the village is Thirumanam, it is about less than half a kilometer from the outer ring road.
A temple for people who are born in swathi star.
Swami gets a unique name Dhathareeswarar, since swami was prayed by siddhars by placing him under a neli (amla) tree, and Dhathree is a sanskrit word for amla.
Temple was in a poor shape before, due to the efforts of a group of volunteers the temple has really come back to life and now it is not only clean and neat but also has a new kodimaram and a beautiful nicely painted rajagopuram.
Has a huge temple tank, on its right side which is totally dry now, and is sort of common for the perumal temple also. It is so nice to see the steps of the tank on all four sides.
Temple faces east, Swami faces east, Rajagopuram faces east, Ambal faces south, Kodimaram present. Swami and ambal present in one single shrine.
Swami name : Dhathareeswarar
Ambal name : Prasunakunthalambigai
Wonderful temple to visit, kindly check the timings of the temple before visiting. Also do not miss the perumal temple which just a stone throw away from this temple.

The pond is not clean.
Medium size Temple in a relatively big area.
Enough parking space for both two and four wheelers.
One can fully see the Temple in 20 minutes max.
The well water is potable and infact tastier than packaged water.
No eateries nearby. Bring your own food.
Temple pond is dry as of Feb 2021, which surprising considering the rains received in the recent past. It's a huge tank.
At few metres from this Shiva Temple, there is a Perumal Temple as well.
