Thakurbari is a very beautifully constructed Hindu temple. It’s one of the oldest temples in the heart of the city. There are sculptures of many Hindu gods and goddesses outside the temple. When I visited it was closed hence could not go inside but the architecture is simply awesome.

A beautiful temple, had literally all hindu Gods and Goddesses, one of the oldest Hindu temple in Sikkim. Was really amazed by the level of maintenance. If your are at MG Marg then this place must be visited. Really wonderful design work on the walls of the temple. At night with lighting it really looks amazing.....

Large Hindu temple complex located at heart of Gangtok. Easy access from end of MG road. No parking at the venue. No wheelchair access or ramp. Not recommended for senior citizens as there is a flight of stairs to get to prayer hall. Must visit temple in Gangtok.
