Rangji Temple is dedicated to Lord Ranga, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the temple was commissioned in 1823 by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal who was from Hyderabad. The temple of Rangji Ji reflects a mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The high-rising Gopuram also reflects South Indian architecture, and adds more charm to the whole temple.

This temple contains a principal shrine called the Vaikuntha Venkatesh, and eight other temples dedicated to Goddess Laxmi amongst others deities. Lord Rama, which is one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, resides in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Lord Krishna, Goddamaji and Sri Ramanujacharya are the other shrines present inside the temple complex. The temple houses an image of Garuda, Lord Vishnu's mount and is considered one of the holiest temples of Pushkar. It comprises two big structures of gatekeepers in front of the main gate.

Built in 1844, the Ranganath Temple is a unique mixture of Dravidian and Nagara style.
No charges for entry and photography is allowed within the complex but not of the deities.
Dedicated to Krishna, there is a Garudastambha and a Dravidian style palanquin.
Peaceful atmosphere and possible for persons of reduced mobility.

Key points to keep in mind while traveling to Pushkar:

Pushkar is a very beautiful place. There are lots of places to visit here such as the Brahma Temple, Savitri Mata Temple, 27th Shaktipeeth Maa Chamunda Temple, 11ft Shivling Chitrakoot Temple, Rangji Temple, Vraha Temple, Pushkar Lake, Pushkar Market, and street food (which is very delicious).

All of the places are within walking distance from the Pushkar Bus Stand. So there is no need to take an auto. However, you will need an auto to get to the Chitrakoot Temple and the Maa Chamunda Temple.

You can go to the Savitri Mata Temple either by ropeway (Rs 150/- per person round trip) or by climbing approximately 850-900 stairs.

There are lots of Dharmashalas such as Maheshwaris, Khandelwals, and Brahmans, which are very good value for the price. You will not need a hotel unless you want a premium look.

There are no direct trains to Pushkar from major cities. The nearest railway station is Ajmer Junction. From there, you can take an auto to reach the Ajmer bus stand. Autos will cost around Rs 100 - Rs 150 to the bus stand at night. In the daytime, the cost will be as low as Rs 20 per person.
Buses will cost Rs 20/- per person from the Ajmer bus stand to the Pushkar Bus Stand.

There are lots of Pujaris, especially at Gau Ghat, who will try to force you to donate an exorbitant amount (in the thousands of rupees) for a Puja. Please do not fall for these traps. Instead, you can go to other ghats like Vraha Ghat, Narsimha Ghat, Bansi Ghat, etc. where these Pujaris are almost non-existent. Avoid going to Gau Ghat.

Try every street food in Pushkar. It is literally very tasty and delicious.
