||महर्षि वाल्मिकी रचित हनुमान चालीसा ||

करता हूँ वर्णन यहाँ, करके प्रभु का ध्यान।
सुनो वीर हनुमान् का, सुखदाई गुणगान॥

पितु पवन थे अंजना माता।
उनके घर जन्मा दुख-त्राता॥
चैत्र वदि शुभ अष्टमी आई।
मंगलवार  जन्म  सुखदाई॥
सुन्दरतम हनु अंग सुहाए।
इसीलिए  हनुमान्  कहाए॥
मात-पिता प्रभु के गुण गाते।
बालक  को  बलवान  बनाते॥
रवि-सम तेजस्वी मुख पाया।
हृष्ट-पुष्ट  सुन्दरतम  काया॥
ऋषि अगस्त्य के गुरुकुल आए।
वैदिक  विद्या  पढ़  सुख  पाए ॥
वेद  ज्ञान-विज्ञान  पढे  थे ।
सदाचार  के  पंथ  बढ़े  थे॥
मल्ल-युद्ध  गदा  थे  प्यारे।
नहीं  किसी  से  डरे  न  हारे॥
मात-पिता,  गुरु  भक्त  कहाते।
उठकर   प्रात:   शीश   झुकाते॥
शक्ति,  शील,  सौन्दर्य  सारे।
महावीर   विनम्र   थे   प्यारे॥
वेद-पाठ   सुन्दरतम   गाते।
श्रोता   मंत्र-मुग्ध   हो   जाते॥
नीति-निपुण,  रक्षक  सज्जन  के।
न्याय  करें  प्यारे  जन-जन  के॥
संध्या  और  हवन  नित  करते।
वेद-ज्ञान,  सद्गुण  मन  धरते॥
ब्रह्मचर्य-व्रत   जीवन   धारे।
सत्य,  न्याय,  परहित  ही  प्यारे॥
अतुलित  बल,  यौवन-धन  पाया।
संयम   का   जीवन   अपनाया॥
परमेश्वर  का  ध्यान  लगाते।
ओम-ओम  ही  जपते  जाते॥
प्राण  साधना  अद्भुत  करते।
अनुपम  बल  तन-मन  में  भरते॥
परमेश्वर  का  दर्शन  पाया।
मानव-जीवन  सफल  बनाया॥
वन-रक्षक  अनुपम  नर  नेता।
सब  युद्धों  में  रहे  विजेता॥
त्याग  तपस्या  अनुपम  पाए।
सकल  विश्व  उनके  गुण  गाए॥
मित्र  सहायक  बनकर  आए।
अद्भुत   सेना-नायक   पाए॥
दृढ़  प्रतिज्ञ  हनुमान्  हमारे।
दुष्ट  गदा  से  रण  में  मारे॥
कभी  नहीं  विचलित  होते  थे।
नहीं   धीरता   को   खोते   थे॥
वेद-ज्ञान   के   पण्डित   भारी।
दिव्य,  तपस्वी,  शोभा   प्यारी॥
सन्तजनों  की  सेवा  करते।
उनके  सब  दु:खों  को  हरते॥
नारी  का  सम्मान  बढ़ाते।
सन्नारी  को  शीश  झुकाते॥
रामचन्द्र  सुग्रीव  मिलाए।
बने  सहायक  दुख  मिटाए॥
रामदूत  बनकर  सुख  चाहा।
दिया  वचन  जो  उसे  निबाहा॥
लाँघ  सिन्धु  लंका  में  आए।
सीता  को  खोजा  सुख  पाए॥
रावण  को  सब  कुछ  समझाया।
अभिमानी  वह  समझ  न  पाया॥
रावण  की  जब  बहुत  ढिठाई।
तब   लंका   हनुमान्   जलाई॥
भक्त  विभीषण  के  दुख-त्राता।
विजय-यज्ञ  के  तुम  उद्गाता॥
संजीवनि  ओषध  ले  आए।
लक्ष्मण  के  तब  प्राण  बचाए॥
रामचन्द्र  के  संग  खड़े  थे।
उनसे  आगे  सदा  लड़े  थे॥
लंका  पर  थी  विजय  दिलाई।
सीता  जी  श्री  राम  मिलाई॥
राम-राज्य  के  तुम  निर्माता।
राम-भक्त  तेरे  गुण  गाता॥
नहीं  स्वार्थ  कभी  मन  लाए।
कर्म  सदा  शुभ  किये-कराए॥
जय जय जय हनुमान् हमारे।
महावीर  हम  सबके  प्यारे॥
जो  पढे  हनुमान्-चालीसा।
धर्मवीर   होवे   उन्हीं-सा॥

सेवा श्रद्धा से सदा, किये धर्म के काम।
महावीर हनुमान् का, रहे जगत में नाम॥
