Eklingji Temple

Beautiful temple of Lord Shiva. Divinity is powerful. Absolute peace once you enter the main temple. Most of the temple is closed mainly because of covid. But each and every visible temple is magnificent and beautifully done. People park cars on road sides hence a little chaotic. We found a spot just before temple there is a huge boundary wall and good parking place for around 10 cars.

Top class place with full of divine feelings. Absolutely mesmerising. There are restrictions in place to visit backside temples. Only Shree eklingji temple can be visited and prayers can be offered.

Marvelous Architectural heritage !! Built in 8th century by the ruler on mewar Bappa Rawal. The Loard Shiva 's four faced idol carved with black marble is amazing. There are several temples surrounding the main temple and the only one is open for visitors.It is managed by the City Palace Trust, Udaipur. As it is located on the highway there is no dedicated parking plot or space one has to park the vehicle on the road side. The only issue is public toilet, which is not available as lot of tourist and visitors are visiting the place every day.

Eklingnath ( one lingam 4 faces)(shiva temple)- Known as supreme god and the diety of mewar estate . So before in the ancient time everything was regulated by eklingnath ji and after that king of mewar use to declare it as an order . The temple consist of surya mandir , harit rishi figure , 108 other small temples and statues . The art and sculpture on the walls are amazing, some part of temple was broken by invaders back in time but now it is perfectly restored by the present head of mewar family and hrh group of hotels.

With more than 1400 years of history, Shree Ekling ji Temple is Marvelous Architectural pioneer of our cultural heritage. With full of history, culture and traditions with it’s uniqueness in The Loard Shiva 's four faced idol carved with black marble is best and temple is surrounded by 108 small small temples around it. Only issue could be parking (road side) or toilet (Open).

Natural maintenance by temple authorities. Have seen rajasthan music singing infront of lord Shiva. Truly must visit place. Photography not allowed inside.

Temple is also open in a specific timing a day.

This temple is good but, it opens at 10 o 'clock and there was an lake behind the temple and tourist bus arrives.

Beautiful architecture and very old Lord Shiva temple. I have visited 4-5 times, every time Rajasthani singing is there.
Nowadays, temple backside area is closed for all visitors.
It is on the way from Udaipur towards Nathdwara.
Road is very narrow for car parking.
Photography is not allowed inside temple.
Must visit temple.
